I am expressing a contrary opinion in the hopes that they might see how their opinion is harmful. If one person says those things about men, it's not a big deal. If one person said those things about women, who cares? The problem is when societal expectations are based on assumptions that privilege one group above another for no real reason.
the problem is this:

Reason why I'd rather help out at a friend's takeway (women don't want to work there, sexist, racist and other nonsensical jokes allowed) instead of working in the tech industry (or any other office job).
Reason why I've never been or tried to be romantically involved with a western woman in my adult life.
Reason why a lot of people seem to wonder what happened to romance and why western women find it difficult to find a man to marry....

You apply these sweeping statements to all western women when in reality it is only the few who stand out that you make reference to. Not all women will criticize me for making a dick joke and not all women see men as evil they must conquer. I see examples of women every day who are willing to join in with the jokes and realize when things are lighthearted and that men aren't always out to get them. Purposefully avoiding western women due to this stereotype that a few radicals have set... sounds quite a bit like blatant racism doesn't it? Many "western men" have found it attractive that females have more of an impact and can be treated equally in the workplace. Many independent women have found it quite easy to get a husband and they don't do it by being subservient to their master, the husband. I find it quite attractive when a woman can stick up for herself the same way I can.
Also I rather enjoyed the video, and his opinions coincide with mine, but this is just one case and he keeps it to this one case not overgeneralizing that all women at the conference were just as mentally deficient as this one.

5. Jedi understand that well-being consists in the physical, the mental and the spiritual. A Jedi trains each to ensure they remain capable of performing their duties to the best of their ability. All of these are interconnected and essential parts of our training in becoming more harmonious with the Force.
6. Jedi use their skills to the best of their ability. We do not use our knowledge and skill to boast or be prideful. We are mindful of the ego and mindful of our actions, exercising wisdom and humility.
7. Jedi understand their limitations. We recognise, and take responsibility, for our failures and develop a level of modesty about them. We respect the right for others to disagree and understand that they themselves are not perfect.
9. Jedi have integrity. We are authentic to what we believe and are open, honest and true to our purpose and our minds. We remove all masks to reveal ourselves as courageous and noble of heart. We do not hide from fear of damage to our image because we know that our image cannot be blemished from the words and actions of others.
Sometimes it is so important to be “right” that people will argue the most ridiculous positions with little regard to others. It’s okay to be wrong; it’s part of our human nature. The ends do not justify the means, ever.
If you have to stomp people’s feelings, ridicule others or argue an insane position… you’re probably wrong.

As I've said in that other thread, feminism has elements of discriminatory action to achieve non-discriminatory outcomes, as the only way to redress imbalance in a sustained unbalanced system is to force a re-balancing - such as affirmative action.
If you have to stomp people’s feelings, ridicule others or argue an insane position… you’re probably wrong.
Seems wrong, yep.
Still, there is also the fact that people get there feelings stomped, or feel ridculed when that isnt the intention.
You can control what you post, but not how people will react to it.
People can become offended easily. They will react how they will according to there opinion.
We have a saying at the Order of the Sith.
"The risk you take by posting, is that someone may answer you."
This was posted publicly and the fact that not everyone is jumping on the "im sorry" or Ill change" or "ill stop" bandwagon, or the fact that you disagree with there opinion or logic doesnt make them wrong, or what there saying even particularly harmful. Though it can harm your ego I suppose, make you defensive, etc.
It only means you dont like what there saying, which, if I recall, the church didnt like what Galileo said either....
But it didnt make him wrong, although they imprisoned him and made him apologize for it.
All because they were offended that we werent the center of the universe.
Well, I guess apparently it was an offense to God...

Part of the seduction of most religions is the idea that if you just say the right things and believe really hard, your salvation will be at hand.

I didnt apply any sweeping statements to western women.
I explained why I am romantically uninterested by the western woman. I'm not saying they're all like this. I'm saying I don't want to risk getting a headache... And I make the suggestion that other men avoid romance and marriage for the same reasons as I. If I make any sweeping statements about anyone, it's about why men aren't romantic anymore.
but this is just one case and he keeps it to this one case not overgeneralizing that all women at the conference were just as mentally deficient as this one.
Be careful. I've been calling feminists sexist, and look at what that got me. When you're saying "mentally defficient", you're offending two groups of people. (also it's not just that woman, it's her employer, the guy's employer, and the convention organizers. Quite a lot of people overall)

Also when I say mentally deficient I am referring to this man's description of this particular woman. I am referencing a single situation including this man's interpretation of it and I am not applying it to any other situations or groups of people.
