Good Ti-Zo, Ni-Kso-Ko-Wa (My Relatives).
May We Recognize The Force Flowing Through Us Today.
As Jedi, we like to look at Life through the Lens of Metaphors.
So allow me to provide a Metaphor for us to Focus On…
The Metaphor:
A Man and Woman lived in a Kingdom of Cave Dwellings.
It was Solid, Built into the Foundation of the Mountain.
Simple, but Provided All they Needed.
It was Their Home.
Those who Lived Here Experienced Harmony.
All were Welcome in this Kingdom, yet Few Lived Here.
Outside of the Kingdom, the World was in Chaos.
The Woman approached the Man and told him that She Feared that the Outside World’s Chaos would Destroy the Kingdom.
But the Man had No Fear.
He told the Woman that this Home was their Promised Land, and that None Could Take It.
The Chaos of the Outside World could Only Impact Them “If” They Allowed the Chaos to Draw them Out of their Home.
But if they Remained in their Home…
And Took Care of Their Home…
They would Remain in Harmony…
Further, They would Be Able to Provide a Home to Those Who Sought Escape from the Chaos of the Outside World.
The Lesson:
Chaos, Yet Harmony.
Now, this Metaphor is based on a Real Aspect of Human Psychophysiology.
Heart Rate Variability Coherence (HRV-C).
Our Internal State of Being…
Whether it is Chaotic or in Harmony…
Is Reflected, and can be Scientifically Recorded, through How Our Hearts Beat.
You can even Purchase a Device to See This in Real Time…
With Your Heart Creating Jagged, Disorganized Waves (Incoherence) in Chaos…
And Smooth, Hilly Waves in Harmony (Coherence).
Our Hearts and HRV-C can be seen and understood as a “Home” where Harmony can be Experienced.
Harmony begins Internally, in the Home of the Heart…
Or more appropriately, through the Heart-Brain Connection (perhaps a story for another time).
But, it becomes “More” Fascinating when we Understand the Force.
As Our Hearts Beat, they also Produce Electromagnetic Waves which can Interact with Others’ Hearts.
Depending on the State of Our Hearts…
We Can “Pull” Others into a Similar State to Us.
So Chaos can Beget Chaos, and Harmony can Beget Harmony.
Yet we can also Resist this Pull.
If We are in Harmony, we can “Resist” the Pull of Chaos, Internally.
Further, we can be Instruments of Peace and Bring Others “Home” into Coherence and Harmony.
If we Do this with Many Other People, we can Create a Network of Hearts, Similar to a Network of Cliff Dwellings.
We Create the Kingdom of Cliff Dwellings within the Home of Our Hearts.
It is Built Into Us as Humans.
The Force Connects Us.
If we Seek and Maintain Harmony…
None can Pull Us into the Chaos of the Outside World…
And We can Invite Others into Harmony with Us.
To Join Us in the Home of the Heart.
So, I give you This as a Way to Build Your Harmony…
An Introductory Meditation:
Whenever You are Ready….
Close Your Eyes and Remove any Distractions You are Able.
Slow Your Breathing Down.
Focus on the Beating of Your Heart.
Feel the Beats.
Feel the Circulation throughout Your Body.
Then, Focus Further.
What Emotions Do You Currently Have?
Find Any “Emotional Leaks” and Chaos You Have…
Seek Your Inner Wisdom for Ways to “Seal” the Leaks.
Listen and Feel The Force…
Perhaps You Cannot Yet Resolve the Emotion Completely…
That is Alright…
Can You, For Now, Lessen the Leak?
Find a Neutral Point?
Then from a Neutral Point, Perhaps Find Harmony?
If you Do This…
Little by Little…
You can Find More Harmony in Your Heart…
Over Time, the Harmony can Spread to All Aspects of Your Life.
Then, We Can Spread that Harmony to Others.
What is Beautiful about this Style of Meditation is that you can also do it with Your Eyes Open, and even As You are Experiencing Any Strong Emotion…
Centering Yourself on Your Heart Amidst the Chaos of Life.
Create a Home in Your Heart…
Then become Instruments of Peace and Invite Others to Share in Your Harmony.
May The Force be with You, Ni-Kso-Ko-Wa, Always.
If you would like, I have Created a More In-Depth Guided Meditation and Walkthrough based on this Metaphor.
If you Believe it would help you on Your Journey, you may use it to Center Yourself and Further Develop the Home in Your Heart.
