Prostitution
megamind wrote: It may not be the overall issue in this thread, but it is a huge issue to me. I prefer to pay with money rather than my soul and my sanity. I never tried to say that men are victims are being abused in any way. I am more than happy to pay money for sex as long as the sex is good. The same goes for good food, massages, wine, other substances, video games, or anything that brings me happiness and pleasure. Sex is a commodity, and one way or the other payment is required to obtain it. Women do not owe men free sex, just as men do not owe women financial, emotional, and psychological support.
And there you have the answer why men are not being abused. because sex is considered a commodity.

rugadd,
I owned a real doll torso, every model of fleshlight, every model of tenga flip, and probably 20 other top male sex toys. I've wasted a lot of money to find out that currently nothing on the market can match a natural, muscular and tight vagina. I find it more pleasurable to use my hand than any of the various toys that are available. I will be paying legal prostitutes until they release something more realistic.

I put it to you that prostitution is therefore the oppression of men and a crime against natural law.
If one has a need for something it is oppression to provide them with that for a cost?
What about a 'need' to smoke cigarettes? If someone provides you with a packet does that mean they are oppressing you?
I always thought oppression was about denying/stopping things...
Is it oppression to not get what you want for free all the time? If the answer to that is yes then my response to that is "Yeah sure ok, it's oppression by your definition and I frankly don't care."

They would if they could (it's market dynamics for you), but there are laws to prevent this from occurring, with direct retail price control, anti-trust laws, cartel laws...

What if a group of people (say, the shareholders of a corporation) kept tight control over the food supply chain and started charging whatever they want?

How many people die from lack of sex?

Does that not undermine the very point youre trying to make about it being acceptable to attain the commodity of sex in any manner that is legal?

Money can be traded for sex, sure it isn't fair that a decent looking man has to pay for it, yet almost any woman can post one message on their facebook wall and have 20 guys at their doorstep in 5 minutes. For whatever reason that is how evolution dealt the cards. That's how things are, and we as men just have to deal with it. Women's bodies belong to them, they are under no obligation to have sex with anyone. There are a lot of bigger issues to worry about in our world, if you can't afford to buy sex you can go to youporn or redtube easy enough and rub one out on the cheap.
