Peace also never comes without a price.

True peace can never be attained.

Again, I never said anything about true war. You all strive on for peace. That is why I said that. If war was done all the time... Again there can never be growth. I know well of the give and take. As that is the basis off a lot of things. I may be someone who enjoys chaos but all chaos all the time is just ridiculous

To have peace you must be prepared for war

Just throwing that out there...

I like the example of Costa Rica... They have no military. All their money goes into education and healthcare rather than military. Lots of countries do the same. So why is it that they have peace but aren't prepared for war?

I recall seeing something about how nation-states are the reason we have wars. We have some kind of fictional national interest. Just look at the artificial borders, or imaginary lines, that we "must" protect from "aliens". lol

We are not so naive to think conflict will never exist either... So please don't assume that either....;)

We only hope to minimize the damage.... Peace being more appreciated by us, yes...;)

Costa Rica has strict drug laws but prostitution is legal. I don't think drugs relate to peace though because there are countries with liberal drug laws that have peace and no military.

It's in the middle of the night, somone is yelling and kicking in your front door while someone else is busting in your deck sliding door. You're wife and kids are sleeping upstairs. The cops are 5 to 10 min away assuming you dial 911 real quick. These are drugged up. You have a gun. What do you do?

Now you are in a hallway at a school and someone shoots their way in. You have a gun. What do you do?
