So its fair to talk about other people not apart of this community and their faults. But not fair to talk about their own? Please tell me how that makes sense? After all....Obese people also know how to improve said "problem"
Edit: You may also note that I didn't go into details I merely mentioned that there was a situation and left it at that.

Because it is targeted at a very specific individual , Kit.
It is poor form to defend someone by attacking others and it shows that you don't care if you reduce yourself to a lower level than you are.
Now, in defense of the obese individuls on there, Ren, you cannot talk about their obesity if you do not fully understand their genetic make up. Even in the US Army, when someone gets placed on the overweight problem, they are required to meet up with a specialist that can assess their body type and set the, on a pln that works for them, where other traditional plans may not. Some of those obese people in the pictures are quite accomplished martial artists. Your weight does not necessarily determine your physical ability.

Who was I defending out of curiosity? As I recall I was in agreement with Ren
Even I, myself, and Me have much room of improvement in the fields of question. 60lb of baby fat to drop after all. I count myself as one of the obese people in question. I can see my faults and accept them...why is it wrong to point out the faults of others when they themselves so quickly judge? I used that situation counting on it's 'vagueness' as reminder that TOTJO is not perfect and have many falts to improve on as well. If we are going to point fingers, be sure to also point at yourself. Or as my dad loves to say..."When you point at someone, you have three fingers pointing back at you"

By posting the faults of another, it is a defensive measure against what someone else said to prompt the attack. You may not intend it to be so, but that is exactly what a defensive person does- attack others.
Was it wrong for Ren to attack those that are obese, yes, but you are the one I hold to a standard, not Ren, which is why I jumped your case first.

I do not recall ever attacking anyone in any of my comments. You are twisting my words around and making them appear as something they are not due to your closeness of the situation in question.
As I said a couple times. I did not go into details. I did not mention names, and I did not attack anyone. I merely mentioned it as an Examplenot an attack. I have nothing to be defensive about so there is no need for attack. It is a valid example IMO and nothing more.

I know I should not get in to this but well I have to say my peace... We are Jedi we do not feed into all the words of hate and selfishness... If other do not like what you have to say they don't have to listen, that's one thing people need to learn do not talk about other because you are scared or want what they have. The ego of man will always try to get the better of you and as I look at this post that is what I see, if other want to talk let them as long as we know the truth then we will be free. There are all kinds of people in this world some good others bad it up to you who you will be. Respect is earned not given, it is something you can not command nor take away, but you can give it as long as you stay true to who you are. So as far as making outside contact with other Jedi I say talk to them all you never know who may make you a better Jedi . May The Force Be With All The Jedi the keepers of the light and the speekers of peace.

Kitsu, you changed you post back a few, and I thank you...
I read it before Althea commented, and was on my way out the door.... I didn't have time to answer... It again appeared as though you were attacking us... I was gonna quote it back... lol...
Whoever, whatever, happened, who gives a poop?
I keep rereading that post, and have yet to see how it contributed, or was needed in anyway...
... Unless you are trying to lump us all in that catagory...
So, as in that post, you refer to an "on-line Jedi"...
Am I an "on-line Jedi"? By your definition, of course, subject to change, yada, yada....

Respect is given, when meeting someone for the first time, or it should be...
And needs to be earned to remain as it is....
Unfortunately, people in this community are too quick to point out those they feel are not true Jedi, thus making themselves lessor Jedi....
I'm delusional, I'm Napoleon, I'm Cleopatra, I am a Jedi....
Do you humor me, help me, guide me, with compassion?
Or crush me, embarrass me, humiliate and belittle me, with lack of compassion?
Call yourself what you will, and I will call you that too, for maybe my definition is wrong, and yours is right....

"Ooh, hey -- it's Kit!" Jack pointed out, noticing the large amount of recent posts by said member. Practically every character sprung to attention.
'The nice lady who did all the cooking at the Gathering and ensured none of us starved to death?' James asked. Jack shot him a look.
"Or, at least, that it tasted good."
'Like I said: Ensured none of us starved to death. Everyone, say HI!'
Jack rolled her eyes at the enthusiasm of her characters. And then, returned to the topic at hand.
"...Would it be kind of presumptuous of me to talk about the 'attacks' or 'disparaging remarks' when I couldn't even see the original facebook page that the original poster linked to?" She finally managed, "I mean, since I don't know what the original arguments were, only the ones talked about on THIS forum, I might not be terribly fair."
Kendalina, back from a long trip that she didn't feel like discussing, leaned over Jack's shoulder.
'Maybe. But it also might be worthwhile putting in your two cents about the folks here at TOTJO interacting with other... what are they? Chapters? Sects? Branches?'
'Yeah -- I 'member you showed up at the Gathering, met a buncha people who asked 'Where're you from' and when they clarified, you found out you were only one of... what, four people who'd been online around here most of the time. And alla us were like 'WHA?' and you were like 'Huh?' and they were like 'Well, we're from some place that you've never heard of' and it would make us all like 'Uhh... that exists?' and you would be like '...Okay...' and not really say anything and...' Tom went off into a much less coherent ramble before Con clapped a hand over his mouth.
'Maybe it would improve communications and relationships with different chapters and... websites, I'm assuming... if the individual boards posted links to other chapters.' He suggested. Silus' ears perked up.
'Such as TOTJO having a link to the Chicago Jedi Group and the Knights of Awakening and so forth? Like having diplomatic embassies to different countries where diplomats stay when they are visiting an ally or such?' He asked.
"Huh." Jack muttered, "That's not such a bad idea. Maybe I'll suggest it, if other chapters really don't get along as much as I'm garnering from these discussions, here..."
