Lu'Crae is not my birth name, it is my spiritual identity.

There is a common rite of passage in shamanic rituals whereby the initiate is given a number. For days they are called this number to symbolize the death of their identity. Then they are given a random name, perhaps toaster oven. For days they are called this random name to symbolize the uselessness of giving another person a name to be called by, as if it were our place. And finally, after much time of lost identity the initiate is called to proclaim their inner name. Shout! They are told. Let your name ring through the mountain tops as this is who you are, the manifestation you will be know as.

Mine is Lu'Crae Jiddu. With no outside influence I derived this name from an inner place of peace. It is my true identity, though hardly anyone knows me by this name.

Krieger is not my real (birth) name. It is however the name I've been strongly considering changing to legally.
