This book-transcript of Bill Moyers interviewing Joseph Campbell. Probably no one's familiar with it ;)

I am always reading numerous books at once but the one that is most impactful at this moment is Seeds of Destruction by Thomas Merton. Although written in the 1960s and mainly about the Civil Rights movement of the time it is still so relevant today, and in many ways this is comforting and at the same time equally saddening.

I have always cherished Merton's views and will likely read his works for the rest of my life. He was a monk, and although being of one religion and not being open minded has often troubled me, Merton is anything but closed minded. He was in many ways ahead of us even today.

So far from what I understand of it, it combines both self-reflection and the Art of taking action together to give us insight on how our actions affect others and prompts us to know what to do next. Life isn't about the number of check marks on our to-do list. It's about the meaning behind each one.
