I received this book for Christmas. I adore LeGuin.
I am reading a couple things:

I'm halfway through Mockingjay (yes, the Hunger Games books). My daughter is making me read it.
I have to say though... of all of the terrible, awful books I've read with Mary Sue protagonists over the years, this one finally get a female character right. She's deeply flawed, she screws up, she's insecure... she's the most sincerely written female that I've seen in ages. When I finally write something of worth, I'd like to feel as real as what Suzanne Collins has written.

I read the biography of Robert H Goddard when I was young, so now I'm going through the autobiography of Boris Chertok, who was "a prominent Soviet and Russian rocket designer, responsible for control systems of a number of ballistic missiles and spacecraft" during the full span of the 20th century.
Quite interesting so far if your into that sort of stuff, and is called "the definitive source of information about the history of the Soviet space program" on wikipedia!
Consists of 4 Volumes, and can be downloaded for free at;

A friend of mine gave me a book by Czeslaw Milosz called Road-side Dog. Perhaps I shall have to dig in to this again soon.
