Veggie Tales is a cartoon that christians show to their kids. The Veggie's go on adventures that some times have a lot to do with tales from the new testament. In other words it teaches the basics of christianity to kids.
Gatta get em while their young ^.^
In a lot of ways thats how I few the Star Wars films. It gives a good Idea of what we strive to be, its entertaining, and kids know that Vegetable cant talk so the wont act out. Just like in Star Wars we know that one man cant take out an army all by his lonesome.

The Common Fear
Over the past few months I have not been able to get on line and help Our Temple out. So been looking for knowledge in the real world hoping that I would find some thing worth bringing back. I have a few things I'd like to share with every one. This is and experiment that I've been doing for 4 months now.
I've been riding the bus and walking to most of the places that I need to go. Often I would find that people felt so uncomfortable around each other that they would go out of their way just to avoid one another. It seemed like most people had a fear in them that held them back from trusting other. I understand that we live in a world where trust is hard to come by but we are all part of the Force. Even if you dont believe in the Force we are all part of the same planet and that alone should at least get us to help each other out or at least acknowledge one another. I mean we may not know each other but we're all in it together!
I've come to find that fear has many faces. Some people dont trust others because they dont want to let the wrong person in but in doing so the shut all the right ones out. Others fear the public opinion, in other words they dont want to pick sides. I'd like to think that most people just have a bit of stage fright and dont know how to start trusting a random person.
In any case I've made it my personal Jediism Mission to provoke trust in others. I find that people in public will some times talk to you and if you respond to that instead of shutting others out, people that see your courage pick up on that positive energy and start making an effort to talk to others. I know this because on the bus I started to talk to just one person at the start of my experiment. Slowly others started to join in the conversation. Now I often talk to 4 to 8 people on the bus. The same people but the numbers are growing. They all started out as strangers too. I do hope this continues.
Whats really strange is that we talk about all kinds of things that other people might find Taboo. Like religion, current events, science, politics, and personal views. So far no one has lost their temper. One person stopped talking to us because he did not agree but so far no fights! ^.^
Its ok if others leave the group because through out our lives people may come and go but we're all in it together in the end.

that's kind of interesting since i do the same thing at stores, school, and everywhere else i go...just start a random conversation with someone i don't know....in psychology class i read that americans are the nationality most prone to divulging personal information to complete strangers...i must admit i've caught myself doing this on rare occassion...fortunately it hasn't come back negatively on me (yet)...from experience i know how bad it can be if you trust in the wrong person, but i also know that when placed in the right person it can pay off a hundredfold.
random acts of kindness are the most surefire way to gain the trust and confidence of others, and this is the time of year where these sort of acts can have the most impact.

I couldn`t agree with you more Master Daniel. Good point and good lesson. Very often we are what we are from our experiences and how society has conditioned us. Habits are hard to break but not impossible. Sometimes even if another just looks like someone we don`t like that is sufficient to feel antipathy.

Thank you both for you input it means a lot!
I dont know if its random or a secret lesson that the Force instills within us but for some reason People from The Temple of The Jedi Order are very charismatic.
People are drawn to our type of charisma.
I didn't used to talk or act like this. Not before my training here. Now its hard not to do the right thing or take the safe path.
I am wondering if this type of change is common and its not just me?

I am a firm believer that nothing which happens is not for nothing. Everything happens as it should because that is just what we need. How we experience things depends on how easy or difficult we make it. If we trust in that it is like a roller coaster we are taken to places, heights, feelings, views we could never imagine; in the end we are not the same. I think your experience says alot about your being on the right path Master Daniel.

i think it's a lesson of enlightenment, not always necessarily from being jedi but from elevating our way of thinking. i've seen it in others that have a firm grasp of their religion/philosophical lifestyle. when one is at peace others can feel it, when one is confident others can tell...charisma is a powerful tool that can be developed with faith and strengthened with resolve. by fully embracing a \"belief\" system we allow our charisma to blossom within that system...but hey that' just my take on it..

Religious Studies
In my free time I like to research other religions an their history. My findings were more than I expected.
In a number of different religions science is stunted or ignored altogether. This is no secret but I would have thought that people had more reason than ignorance. Even after years of proof people still ignore fact. In a few religions \"Copernicanism\" (as they call it) was seen as sacrilegious and would be punished by Death, House arrest, or even excommunication.
Copernicus as you may or may not know was the first to challenge the religious dogma that the earth was not the center of the universe.
Like then even if some thing is proven to be a fact! after a long time of research and tests, it takes EVEN LONGER for other religions to accept any fact that would disprove their faith. Some have even gone to extremes in order to defend their faith. Some religions have a COMPLETE disregard for scientific rules and have \"Modified\" science to prove their views true.
My point is that after sampling a number of different religions this is the only one that has little or no disagreements with science...or other religions for that matter. I mean its in our code!
\"There is no ignorance,there is knowledge\"
As Jedi we try to understand and respect the world around us. I understand why other religions try to keep a wedge between them and science and I would never disrespect them. That's why I didn't specify witch religions did what. I understand and respect other religious views but I cant agree with them. In part that's why I joined Jediism. Its like the Jeet Kune Do of religion. Jediism takes the best of all other religions and applies it to the individual.

nice analogy
true about many religions \"modifying\" science to suit their needs, just look at the theory of creative design.
there's a video online of a dog born without it's 2 front legs, it adapted and learned to walk upright, after several vet exams they found that the dog's hips and muscles evolved to accomodate vertical walking. living proof of how evolution works but zealots would view it another way. in dog breeding there is a concept called neogenics, basically selective breeding in order to gain specific traits, canine dna is the most pliable and it only takes a few generations to see results, evolution fast forwarded, zealots would call it \"playing god\". we wouldn't have this knowledge if we weren't meant to use it.
i gave up years ago trying to debate views with zealots since they always fall back on the same no logic argument....it's a bit of a shame that they blind themselves to the world like that...i think that the greatest appeal of jediism is the fact that there is no knowledge forbidden and no point of view that is wrong.

Very well said my point exactly!
Often times people will turn a blind eye to science because they fear that they might be doing some thing that a deity might not like.
I do the right thing because I want to do the right thing. Not because I might upset \"a God\". Not because of fear. That is the Jedi way.
