How will you hurt them? Be detailed.

To do that I would have to go through the list of each one. Detail takes time. And in order to take each of them down in such a way that they will never ever forget me, there needs to be planning. Everyone hurts in different ways. Each has their tender spot. There's no point in having a "one rule for all", there's no skill in that.

Part of the seduction of most religions is the idea that if you just say the right things and believe really hard, your salvation will be at hand.

To harm them may bring strength, to heal may bring despair. Consider such things carefully. Some only become heroes because they taste harm brought by another. Some become healers only by falling to great sickness. Some become criminals because they were healed from a pain that might have changed their course.

See clearly, strike swift and leave nothing that can breathe.

But if the truth is that they are as they are, why would I want to do something about it and "help them". In some way they have chosen who and what they are, just as I chose not to pretend I care anymore.

To me that just means your focusing on the wrong people perhaps. I'm all for being truthful about people, but its your prerogative about where you focus your action, even if they are taking your attention.

The wrong people? What if they are exactly the right sort of people? Dealing only with people who you are indifferent to doesnt teach you anything.

Usually its nothing new, hence the perceived indifference (at least temporarily).

So if indifference is only temporary then everyone should be treated with the same level of malice? After all, everyone will turn on us eventually. Might as well use them or break them while you can.
