I find her very selective in her research and interpretation of what she finds, as well as very "guiding" if you know what I mean. I think she gives people what they want and not what they need.

Maybe I'm mistaken though, it's been a while. I'm mostly concerned about her poor credentials.

She does state in the beginning that she is not a scientist. And I think I pretty much got the idea of what she was talking about by the end of the first chapter.

But rather then expound on the topic with greater detail, to me, it felt as though she dance around the same aspect and never said anything further. Long story short, in my opinion, once you’ve read the first chapter you can pretty much put the book down and know the end of the story.

Maybe I'm confusing this with another book of hers. I'll have to check it out.

"The Bond" was rubbish too ...

... and I was the twit who read through the damned thing hoping it would be better.

A question occured to me as i was reading an old thread: has the IP been officially updated? if not, where can one go to review it and cast one's aspersions upon it?

The last official change was that the Maxims replaced the Vows in the Breakdown. That is the only thing to be concerned about right now ...

I am open to suggestions however. If you have anything to say about the IP (as it is now), please do so Desolous.

im too far removed from it to have actual usable data (or opinions) from which to extrapolate. i just wanted to see if there were proposed changes we could review before implementation.

Wait ... Des, no ...

No one really gets very far removed from it. Those are our basic studies. The 'foundation' if you will. Apprenticeship furthers what we learn, but we would best not get too far away from basics ...

If one doesn't maintain the foundation, anything one builds upon it will fall apart as well.

Ren --

I would be all for including the Krishnamurti "Freedom from the Known" as more than just a bonus. Perhaps in the place of "Meditation" by Alan Watts, or even not excluding anything we have now. Krishnamurti talks about meditation in it ...

Then again, the IP is fine the way it is too. As I see it, no changes are immediately crucial ...

So, en fin de compte, this post was useless besides taking the piss out of Des and throwing flowers at Krishnamurti ...

Im of the opinion that we don't want to change too much, too quick...this is my first thought...

Im thinking like one thing every few months....

As we grow, it gives us with a bit more on our plate, to also stay up to date on the lessons...

I need to go do the maxims yet, lolol...
