In this particular case I'd think you're probably right. But on the other hand.... I know of some secret societies that keep their doors VERY guarded and there's quite a lot behind it

If I were you, I would let it be, and allow the proper authorities to keep their eyes on them.
I don't want to freak anybody out, but I would consider them a threat. They seem JUST crazy enough to go ballistic.

I took some info and backed it up for my own personal records. Since then, I imagine they don't want people taking information out without being indoctrinated. This probably is because the government has them on a watchlist.

I found a few bits and pieces of their old literature on blogs and looked through it a little. Definitely not my spiritual direction so I'll leave it at that. They do seem dedicated and "different" compared to most Sith sites, I'll acknowledge that though. However, although I'm by nature a curious person but I'm not someone that delves into (potential) trouble when there is no need to do so. I think steering clear of the whole thing is a really good advice....

I haven't visited this site (and with what Connor said about not being surprised if they were on a watch list, I shouldn't, really), but I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's more of the same. Which is really obnoxious for a few of us, given that some of us don't care what you claim to be as long as you're authentic.
Being "dark" is like being "cool" -- If you gotta tell people you is, you ain't.

Look, obviously I can't say what Mortose is like as a "real" person in real life. After all, we all have lives outside the internet too, or at least I would hope so
But if these people- or disciples or whatever - Mortose claimed he was dealing with are people he knows in his real life and he treated them with the coldness and disdain he told us about, then yes, I would say that's evil. If he was of course just posing for attention (and there was alot of that too) then I agree with you.
As for the SA, I doubt if they'd be important enough for someone to put them on a "watchlist", I think that's a bit paranoid. Besides, I don't really believe in censorship and government surveilance like that. It infringes on people's freedom, although I know it happens. But I'd say they only watch the "big fish".

As someone who has encountered genuine evil, I respectfully disagree. Mortose (and his actions) were childish, even if all true. Not evil. Evil is...distinct. Unforgettable. And usually invisible.

They're on a watch list because they made terroristic threats. They discussed how to create weapons of mass destruction and then expressing the desire to use them. Regardless if they did not intend to do so, when someone starts talking of plans involving the killing of masses of people and how to do so, if you read or hear someone making such comments, it is your responsibility to act, and that's exactly what I did.

I know myself and at least two other Jedi reported them to the FBI after they made death threats against some of our members and Jedi in general.
