sith academy made all the vids private.. :(

if I was pissed enough I could just smoke weed and hit a gong for you all.

PS these guys were con artists having a toga party. Being the guy who's dealt with them probably more in depth than even zenchi. Calling the feds is exactly what they want lol. It's attention, and some of you helped them last longer than they did.
It's overkill.

Though all I'm saying is I doubt anybody would take these people seriously if they weren't taking themselves too seriously.

Does it make us feel good? Do we feel like a stronger group? Is this a way of shaking off nervosity? Which leads me to my next question as to what this has to do with Jediism.

So move the post to the Humor board and problem solved.

Does laughing at silliness make on feel good? Yes. Ask anyone who watches Sponge Bob. But seriously, if you cannot laugh at your own community, the silliness brought on by your own path? You are done. You will go insane. You have to be able to laugh.
Do we feel like a stronger group? Yes. Because we are. Evidence by years of survivability and quality of content. As well as content of progression.
Is this a way of shaking off nervosity? No. Not even sure how that comes into play. Maybe for those that seriously review the Jedi Force trainer toy as a legitimate Jedi Training tool. Maybe. For those that live as Jedi? Not even close. It is funny as many things in our community are just down right hilarious because they are so damn silly. And the fact they even lack this awareness of hilarity, that they cannot laugh at themselves, only adds to it.
What this has to do with Jediism? Again. Have it moved. But it has to do with Jediism like many things - Misconceptions. So many misconceptions. Some displayed there.

No online community is pure. It is online. All we can do is encourage open and honest communication. To have safe havens. To have people vetted that members can go to to report inappropriate behavior. It is about living by our ideals and enforcing them. Building and encouraging that Jedi Community as it is meant to be. It does not happen over night. And no system is perfect. But that doesn't mean other systems aren't just so insanely funny that we have to stop and laugh at the absurdity of it all. Only reason I have survived in the Jedi Community since 1998 is because I can laugh at myself, at the community, and at those that just get it so wrong it have to believe it was done on purpose for laughs.

So yeah man. Get off the high horse for two seconds and enjoy a laugh. It is good for the soul.

Nothing really, yet its here. Like so many of the threads that are unrelated to Jediism.

No idea Brenna, does humor need a deeper reason? I suppose you could equate one piece of humor with another whether it be at some one else`s expense or not. But I am grateful for your affirmation that this as other threads are at the very least not related to Jediism, but in its acceptability is such a condescending behavior endorsed?

Endorsed by who exactly? And by what right?

I personally would not deliberately harm these people. I do not try to prevent them from expressing themselves. Nor would I leave them wanting if they ever genuinely needed my help.

But I am going to laugh my ass off at their theatrics and shenanigans which at the time, they openly broadcast, because they are amusing.

Thank you Brenna for an honest eye to eye reply to my question, without feeling the need to lecture me. I was looking for nothing more nor less.

in the fiction it is in the nature of the sith to constantly destroy and reform themselves...forever trapping themselves in the samsara (cycle of rebirth)...they constantly feel the need to acquire more, to continuously test their strength and prove themselves against the universe...at all costs...

as to sa....it seems to me that they have become more cultlike than they were before...

as to sith/dark jedi...well, it seems to me that the best representatives of their perspective contribute a good deal, and spend a good amount of time within totjo itself...we have (in my view) the best of the sith/dark jedi as full fledged members.... but that's just my perspective ...

Hmm, going by the fiction, this would fit for the Jedi as well.
