Yes words are powerful and care should be used when there is a chance they may be misunderstood...however they are only as powerful as the listener chooses to make them....many of us have learned to strip words of their power when needed....
Often the case with dabbling in the dark is that the required solitude it creates causes one to lose their way...eventually most find their way back, but we never lose the taint of darkness....there's a reason the fictional sith were always at odds with each other...it's not possible to have so many giving in to emotion without conflict arising...so they often split or simply disappeared
Quotes:
Out of darkness, he brings light. Out of hatred, love. Out of dishonor, honor-james allen-
He who has conquered doubt and fear has conquered failure-james allen-
The sword is the key to heaven and hell-Mahomet-
The best won victory is that obtained without shedding blood-Count Katsu-
All men's souls are immortal, only the souls of the righteous are immortal and divine -Socrates-

Warning: Spoiler!
There is passion, yet there is peace
Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me

Asopo, just because someone follows absolutely their chosen aspect or aspects does mean they should be termed 'crazy'. That is conditioning society has placed speaking! It is conditioning intended to keep one down from changing what certain ones have made; to keep one from upsetting a balance imposed on humanity.
It frustrates me to see 'the goodly lightsider' praised for his goodly deeds while the darksider is called insane because he truly embraces his own path.
It frustrates me more to see an absolute disregard for the historical movers and shakers of society; all of which were 'extremists'. How is it 'crazy' to follow your path with passion, complete loyalty and absolute belief without doubt? I do not understand this point of view!
I take both sides equally. Sometimes I am more darksided, sometimes I am more light. It depends on which side of the Force is moving me at the time. I see from both vantage points. Do you?

Ah, but it's in the fiercely independent nature of the sith to either stand or fall on their own...not to be dependent on the aid of others....
I would of been glad to lend assistance had anyone asked

All that energy focused inwards, perhaps at the expense of what it means to be human in the real world, could sorta bubble up as distortion of character. So while it might be useful focused inwards for some purposes - when it starts messing up relationships I think its time to reevaluate its application. Not talking about anyone here, just my own thoughts about my own opinions of the dark side.
Thats what I think is the best use by realism of the movie concept of 'falling', not from the light to the dark as commonly held (which could have been within the movies used as propaganda to ward off Jedi straying from training), but for the realist it might best be from the path itself of the Force - both light or dark paths, ie falling from either path.

Yes...strong inward focus (introversion) gives you great defense against persuasion and manipulation...however too much of it causes you to alienate other sources of strength...conversely strong outward focus (extroversion) enables you to draw from other sources but to much of it leaves you susceptible to persuasion and manipulation....the key is to find that perfect point of balance....or to learn how to bounce back and forth between the two
