No one is forcing anyone to believe a certain way. But I feel it is important to be open and up front. Sure, that practice can sometimes come back to bite you in the blubber; but, would you rather we "hide" the truth from people? I personally feel that deception is NOT the Jedi way.

I wholeheartedly agree!

Pretending to be pious and 'above' everyone else, to shy away publicly from these types of conversations while continuing them on in secret, would make us appear to be putting on a mask...

A mask which on the outside would make us look 'better' and 'untouched' and 'detached-through-Jedi-enlightenment' while on the inside showing us to be just another group of average people trying to do right by the world :)

People are attracted to some religious ideals, because they think that once they join suddenly they are elevated beyond 'normal' people, the 'others', but that simply isn't the case here and we should not promote that sort of thinking. Ever.

It would be interesting if this forum had a poll option.

I'm not: closed minded on sexuality, a prude, bible thumper, pretending to be pious, better than anyone else, not uncomfortable with the subject. Nore am I: advocating: secretness, projecting a false image or mask, or promoting elitism or thinking.

In fact in spitit of open mindedness I would be interested to see you all open minded folks post your personal sexual practices no matter what your orientation may be. It would be educational. Especially for the youth that read and have joind this forum.

I'll still think that posting one's personal sexual activities should be handled with more discretion.

Be happy everyone. Love one another, in public or private as you wish and may the living force always be with you. Have fun.

Not really. Putting an end to discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation is part of our doctrine.

Whilst debating doctrine is interesting, it's not about to change.

And yet that is just what will be thought by others if we do such a thing...

And some of us have posted our sexual orientations:

I'm not saying to discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.

And yet that is just what will be thought by others if we do such a thing...

I'm not sure we are on the same page with this?

I think you think I think disclosing your sexual orentation is what I have a problem with?

I'm say going into graphic detail of any sexual acts should be handled with discression.

I'm not saying to discrimination on the grounds of sexual orientation.

My point is that having a poll would be pointless, as the issue is not up for debate, because part of the doctrine, which we are not amending.

We're still not communicating well? I'm not suggesting a doctrine change.

What do you think is my issue? Are we missing each other in all these posts?
