There may be a Northern Ireland/Ireland reunification vote.

True words, but whether this change is good or not remains to be seen. Personally, from my own experience living in a non-EU country in Europe, I seriously doubt it. Freedom of movement was a non-negotiable part of Switzerland's access to the EU market, and so were payments to the EU (Greece etc.). Things might be exactly the same for GB, except that you've lost your political say in Europe.

Well, the Scottish First Minister just announced that Scotland intends to stay in the EU and that there will, in all likelihood, be another referendum for independence from the UK sooner rather than later (in any case before before the secession is complete in 2 1/2 years). Looks like the EU vote has the potential to break apart the UK.

Another Scottish Referendum was inevitable, the SNP have been threatening to have another one ever since they lost the last one. Today's events are just an excuse (all be it a perfectly valid one) to justify it.

Why let us play if we refuse to pay? It must do.

Nice to see the likes of Le Pen and Wilders crawling out of their respective sewers to demand the same for their countries. Farage is in apt company.

Edit - 3 hours sleep and touchphone typing do not mix

Wilders is already screaming blue murder ( not sure right context but allez) but the Dutch parlement want a lock down on all referenda so there is no panic football ( again weird analogy sorry haha) there are elections in the Netherlands in 2017 , if and when they choose Wilders as our MP , we will be thrown back into the Dark ages , so lets hope that we all keep our cool now.

What Britain certainly doesn't need right now are finger waggers who won't talk about what's next because the vote didn't go their way. Shouting about the immediate very short term consequences as the reason we made the wrong choice is a fool's errand, because a) we've had the vote and b) complaining won't help (which appears to be all I'm seeing on webpages and hearing on the radio at the moment). Voting to leave was always going to result in a rocky start, no big decision is made easily, but it needs commitment. (By the way, I'm not pointing figures in the forum!)

Perhaps Scotland and Northern Ireland should be having referendums. Northern Ireland is a troubled country and deserves a chance to make a decision on their own future. Scotland is never going to not be our neighbour and if they want to be in the EU they have a right to make that choice.

It won't let me have a blank signature ...

^ That's true, but I think it's fair that people are hurt that an outcome they really didn't anticipate hurts now, in the whort term, facing massive immediate financial consequences.

I've seen posts on facebook about "sore losers" - implying this was some kind of zero sum thing. Those who wanted remain did so for genuine reasons, and what's easy to dismiss as "sore losing" (not accusing you of this) is, in reality, a genuine and deeply held ideological difference.

I understand what you're saying, and agree in large part, but given the likelihood this means Scotland leaving the union and the pound, and potentially also Northern Ireland, this IS likely to be the end of our country as we know it.
