Fair point, I would say though if there is only one issue or so that is preventing you from going either way then it would not be a bad thing to try and find out the answer/facts about it, if you truly have no idea then I would agree totally Edan (:

I am an old school communist , i still believe in equal pay and rights not just for the middle class and above , i dont like corporations taking over and claiming our resourses ..thats why i find it very hard , we are looking what the UK is deciding today , this is a very important day , if the Brits decide to stay in , we are all going back to the drawing board

I have been verbally attacked in public and at college by what I would call left wing extremists, honestly alot of the time I feel physically attacked
It feels extra strange considering I believe in Social Democracy and yet they attack me and call me a nazi, fascist or racist and the list goes on xD
Anyway lets not derail the conversation for the undecideds this is about them

Well Akkarin you're a lot more knowledgeable on this subject than I that's for sure and I hope what you see the intentions and potential of the EU are realized. Despite a rocky foundation and questionable intentions by certain bereaucrats, corporations and what have you, I think if the majority of the people want something to happen it can and they can make the best out of it.
I think it's inevitable that someday we will just have the republic of Earth and I'm not against that type of globalism where it's for the greater good and actually decent but it's a pipe dream utopia. Otherwise for now under the guise of all the benevolence of uniting and working together are just back door deals to foster corporate socialism and the monopoly acquisition of wealth by small groups. To have a global democracy or geographic democracy sort sets itself up for failure because throughout history democracy seems only to truly work in a much smaller setting.

Looking increasingly likely the leave vote has won, our major media outlets have called it for leave.

Good luck guys - I sincerely hope that I'm wrong about what'll happen now in Britain and the rest of Europe. The Pound's already collapsing.

the results are slowly coming in but paint a grimm picture of a torn country .. i am sorry for you it has to be that way , we are not enjoying this one bit , the Union of the European countries has been a great dream of the Netherlands , heck we even gave you the whole city of Maastricht to celebrate in , it has turned into bitterness and it leaves me more sad than victorious ..there is little to celebrate now

Wow , this morning in Dutch news , they want a lock down on referenda here for at least 3 years , thats the plan..maybe a good plan? I dont know , the Brits have chosen and this will have a ripple effect on the rest , we have elections in 2017 so if they put a lock down on democracy i really fear that people will vote out of anger ..and only the extremist parties will florish then ...difficult times ahead

Scotland voted to remain, Northern Ireland voted to remain. At least for the Scots, I believe they deserve the right for a new referendum on independence, one which will only go one way, now.
So not only do we lose the European Union, we lose the United Kingdom.
A grim day.

Well it came down to
17,410,742 LEAVE
16,141,242 REMAIN
It's about a 4% difference. But this isn't legally binding. It's more like the people voicing their opinion, but Parliament has to make the final decision.
