Brenna's Open Journal - An exploration
I shared a side of me that is and was true. And explained my intentions behind sharing it. Ive done no less or more than other members have.
Yet when it comes frcom others they are just expressing themselves authentically, comes from me and it starts a riot. Why am I not allowed to express a darker side of myself but others are?
Elizabeth. Naya had nothing to do with this. End of story.
And why pray tell is it game playing? I tell you in PM how im feeling and you still call it game playing? Why is there a restriction on how I explore myself? Everyone else gets to have their moments of having shit fits and tantrums, and call it "part of their journey" but I dont? Hows that fair?

No offense Akkarin but I'm not, she brought herself in when she played this game
I said we spoke about things that may or may not be related to why she started this thread. I said I think it might be that, but I don't know.
Also, I don't recall ever saying that Mortose is playing games with people's heads.

In the general forum...
It's the equivalent of running around before church yelling at everybody to "fuck off". lol. In the entryway outside the sanctuary.

Once Brenna told the truth the 'game' was up. Anyone who feels they are still playing 'the game' is only feeling that because they have let themselves be drawn into one.
While some might think that what Brenna did was distasteful, that only effects you so much as you choose to let it effect you.
What has this thread taught you about the way we respond to people who post things like this?
What does this thread teach you about member's 'testing' you?
What does this thread teach you about how easily you become annoyed/irritated or even angry?

Spoken like a true Jedi, (compliment). What it teaches me, is that I don't know people here nearly as well as I thought I did. And that I am guilty of making assumptions, Lesson learned...Akkarin wrote: [speaking in general]

The moment I saw in the title "An Exploration" I knew that there was more to what she was saying than what was stated, as someone already brought up (I think it was Adder...sorry my brain is muddled today). What I learned from this thread is that people hold a lot of expectations toward others in regards to behavior and such. If Mortose had done something like this no one would have batted an eye, but because it was Brenna, who is always trying to only bring her positive side out publicly, everyone reacted so vehemently.
As I said, I've seen people posting threads like this all over the place and no one seems to care. Or if they do care, they don't vocalize it. So it gets me wondering why it was vocalized here and not on those other threads? Why is Brenna being scorned while others are praised for the same behavior? I think it all comes back to the expectations thing. Brenna isn't supposed to behave like this or have these kinds of emotions, so let's all attack her for it.
I don't see how she was playing a "game" or messing with people's heads to be honest. I don't know where that came from. I don't think there is a person here who can honestly say they haven't said certain things, asked certain questions, or behaved in a particular way simply to gage a person's (or several people's) response. It's not as though she lied about what she was feeling. She was simply expressing feelings she has never expressed openly for the purpose of seeing how people would react.
And as far as I can see, she did give "warning" so to speak. She said it was an exploration. She stated her intentions right from the beginning. There was no deception. All I see are people blaming her for their inability to pay attention.
Another thing I've learned is that those who stir up trouble for the sake of stirring up trouble will always get away with it because it's what's expected of them. People are happy to just overlook it and pretend it's not happening or to be one of the ones getting caught up in the drama. And so help those who try to do something about it in the only way we know how. We'll be the ones painted as "the bad guy".
