In Harmony With Nature was created by
Duh It only took a few decades but the idea is finally take root. Wouldn't all the problems of the world and life be solved if we trully lived our lives in harmony with nature? Isn't nature our ulitmate guide for balance and happiness?

Well I mean a lot of the man made problems might disappear, but I'm sure others would take their place. Life will never be perfect. It's not meant to be. And personally I think it would be pretty boring if it was.

It will take much time to correct the imbalance...
We have (as a species) lived without caring...
As we 'wake up', hopefully, we can learn to live in balance...
Before we ruin it... lol...

There's simply too many human beings for that to work now.
Technology in one form or another is the only reason we've survived as a species, man without clothes, tools or medicine in nature doesn't last long... the problem is the course of technology was never going to simply reach a happy medium and stand still.
What we think of as technology going too far will seem hopelessly primitive in a few hundred years. Once we've cured cancer and the common cold, who's going to be itching to "get back to nature"? We're already in that position, in thousands of ways. We solved so many of the problems we can't in any real sense "go back", despite all the other problems this has caused... for example you make this break from the man-made world and head off to a little hut in the woods. Years later your child is dying of diarrhoea - you're not going to leave the woods and take a trip to the pharmacy, to buy/beg/steal the tablets provided by the man-made world of science labs and factories?
What I'm rambling on about is I appreciate what you're saying and in principle I agree, but short of some species-endangerment level catastrophe which wipes out both a vast number of people and a vast amount of infrastructure it's impossible, in practice.

We've already ruined it, but it's not too late to prevent it's complete destruction....unfortunately that would require sacrifices that would be unbearable for most of society...it would seem agent smith's view of humanity is fairly accurate....we need to change....
Warning: Spoiler!
There is passion, yet there is peace
Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me

And, let me also say....
We are 'nature'....
So, our actions are a part of 'nature'...
We naturally grew to this point...

I'm optimistic. The hippies of decades ago are the voters of today.
Where I was going with this thread is I'm looking to nature as a my guide to a balanced life.
Naya You're right but I don'tthink perfect harmony with nature is the same as a perfect problem free life. I do think life would be better though.
