Angelus,

I agree totally. If you were a Shaolin Kung Fu master ( which would be cool) I would hear about your journey and your Love for the temple in which you trained and your philosophy on why you love the calling to be a monk. You would tell me about your temple and the beauty in the forest in which it is located. You would allow dialog and answer with a humble heart ( after all ,you are a monk) and I would sit with you many times and then I would realize.... You are a master because I have heard it in your love and your skills would reveal themselves. Because you would share them eventually.

You would not come into my temple and "hong kong fooy" and "kayyya" your way into convincing me who you are. I would not be able to recognize the monk inside and I would not receive you.

I am NOT trying to squabble, I want to see "true intention" be exemplified through words of wisdom. Maybe the words are coming across as abrasive, but what I am really saying, "show me your heart" everything else will manifest itself without having to declare one's skills.

A bow....

This from a man who believes that Reiki can be carried out in 30 minutes.

I believe that Hannigan believes he's a Reiki Master.com

I am no “master” by any means nor have I ever experienced anything with any of the members posting here so I can offer little to the side debate.

I do know that people often fear that which they do not understand. And there was a time in history where anything that would, or had the possibility, to take authority from the church was declared as being heretical or “work of the devil.” I would think that, as a whole, we had moved beyond that but I also know that there are many that hold on to the things they were taught with fanatical fervor.

But as a whole, on one of the side debates, I have to completely agree with Plokoon.

Likewise, I am a master of nothing. And I also agree with PloKoon, but not so completely --

I agree to the extent that a master of some art shows his/her mastery quietly and that through service. This novice Jedi has recently felt/experienced the mastery of a number of our fellowship, and it has been very effective and not at all noisy.

We have also seen egos swell up of late, something to which none of us are truly immune, and that is when things in here -- and outside of here, I'm confident -- get weird, noisy and annoying. In these situations, however frequent or rare they announce themselves to be, we owe it to ourselves to hold true to our Vows ( http://www.templeofthejediorder.org/forum/Training--Library/26337-Additional-Training-Materials#26337 ) and to practice compassion for the 'annoying one/group' doing most of the ranting. It feels that in most of these cases, the individual(s) actually feel they are right, have something absolutely crucial to confirm or just are soul-famished for that validation/justification.

Compassion is free and freeing. It is not only our duty, but our privilege to exercise it. And it generally makes everyone better in the end. These things generally do not have an extended duration, so the quicker we get to practising respect, compassion and understanding the better the exercise.

Brilliant !!!

To what are you referring? If Desolous, I'm not sure that he was being entirely serious... ;)

Plo, I could claim to be a master of Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, and regardless of your intuition, you'd have no way of knowing whether or not I was lying. Accusations are often no more than voiced suspicions, so with all respect and kindness, I ask you not to make groundless accusations (what proof do you have that he is not a master?).

Hannigan, AGAIN I encourage you to make an instructional thread. If you are a master of Reiki, then you shouldn't refuse to educate the ignorant while simultaneously pointing out their ignorance. It accomplishes nothing and has no place in this forum. You need to understand that as a guest of the Temple with no proof of your qualifications (that i'm aware of), many of your claims are unsubstantiated. You also told me that you are an experienced Jedi who has been on the path for "decades". If that is the case, demonstrate your training and show some restraint. You cannot say that some of your posts have not been unkind. As a member of this Temple, you are required to abide by our policies. Senior members have asked you to be civil, so please do so.

This is not an attack on either of you, but you both need to simmer down.

I would love to do this, however I Mark is the local reiki master here. I do teach reiki elsewhere and enjoy teaching.

Can you explain how I have not been civil with my posts?

There is no ignorace there is knowledge. As a jedi always seek knowledge.
