The way I teach is very simple. I will show you how to block, and then if you fail to block I continue hitting you until you block. This is how I make my friends combat ready.

This is also effective for correcting stance posture in combat. When you get your knees bashed often enough, you learn to move them out of the way.

Due to several forms of martial arts I can attest the importance of sword training/ martial art training for a Jedi to defend life to their fullest extent. I even have all 7 forms and their relationship to practical martial arts written in my Jedi chronical. I am partial to a Jo staff when it comes to weaponry due to the fluidity of the tool, but when it comes to technique I am partial to Makashi due to its precision and beauty of techniques but Soresu is my jam especially since a staff was practically Soresu personified. I do like Djem Sho however because of the defensive guard.

Primarily that's how I first learned, two older brothers and what not, and the severe hunger to learn traditional martial arts as well as a deeply rooted appreciation for utilizing my physical existence as much as possible materialized from it.

So, how do we want to start this thing?

Focus Groups, Form 0 and up from there, exploratory lessons first to see how people teach? Lesson plans, or do we want to just start collecting what we got?

Sidenote, here is one video set that may have material useful. It's all pick and choose as foam fighting is different to some degree as other combats.
