This vs That.

I do agree with this to a point, but love has no meaning without compassion or courage, both make love as passionate as I could ever feel it
I do not believe you can have passion without love, for passion is a form of love.

and you are labelling christianity a western faith?
you said:
"Most western (USA) faiths believe that they are the only one that is correct and everything is junk. How can you make a comparison under those basis of thoughts."
considering we are talking about Christianity, either this is completely unrelated or you think that Christianity is western.....
what???
No what I was trying to do was to separate religions in the USA from the rest of the world. I do not know how the rest of the world believes. I only follow and study religions in how they affect the USA, and how they act here in the USA. So it is saying those faiths in the USA act that way. I am not saying that the world wide Catholic Church does this or that, I am saying the Catholic Church in the USA does though. The same with baptist, Mormons, etc, here in the USA, they all act as though they are the only correct religion and all other religions are wrong.
that does make sense in a way, but I meant that you didn't specify and that you said christianity and not american christianity, so that looks like you think that christianity is a western religion because you placed them in a western comparison and even identified it as western

that seems like you don't have enough knowledge to start a topic like this and laugh at Jestor's sermon

I am not trying to debate you here, I am geniunely curious about what you think
but what about rage? that is passion, no?

Remember I said this:
I stated I was NOT LAUGHING AT HIS SERMON. The sermon was actually really good. I stated I was laughingI just finished reading Jestor's sermon,"Jediism Vs Christianity," and could not help but laugh. I was not laughing at his sermon but at the idea of comparing one faith with another.
It is essential that you read and take into account every word, and not to just pick and choose something out of what I say to try to build a premises that does not fully represent the idea I was trying to bring forth. This pick and choosing is the cause of so many forms of Christianity. Glad you did it.at the idea of comparing one faith with another.

If that rage is coming from the need to protect a loved one then its basis is in love. I can tell you I would not allow someone to harm my family. I love them, and will protect them. My love to my family requires that I do so.
Now in saying this: rage just for rage sake, is not a form of love at all. Rage comes from fear and/or hate. Even the idea of protecting your family that rage is coming from fear. There is that fear that if someone is trying to harm your family you will want to protect them. We as humans are very complex, just because we have rage towards someone does not mean that we can not also have love towards someone else at the same time. This is the case with the need to protect family from harm. You have the rage towards the one that wishes to harm, and you have the love towards the one you wish to protect. The trick is to not let rage overtake you. Warn the one who wishes to harm thy family first, s/he keeps coming shoot them in the leg, they keep coming put a bullet in their head.
Passion is defined as any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling, as love or hate. So yes rage is a form of passion but it does not come from love it comes from hate. All the negative emotions and feelings have their basis in hate, while on the other hand all the positive emotions and feelings have their basis in love.
So what I am saying there is only two ends to the spectrum: love and hate. It really is that simple.

you said the sermon was really good but the idea behind the sermon wasn't?
I might be wrong in my definition but isn't a sermon another medium of presenting an idea?
so how can you say the sermon is very good but the idea is laughable?
and I wasn't trying to pick and choose for arguments sake, I was asking a question that didn't make sense out of curiousity.
and I have studied christianity intensely, which forms of christianity came from picking and choosing?

but you said that passion is a form of love
did you mean passion is sometimes a form of love?

And no I was not implying sometimes because like I just said, I try not to dwell on the negative, or even think about it. So when you discount the negative side altogether passion is only a form of love. But after the questions asked I realize that passion is much more broad. Sorry if I led to a lot of confusion there.
