Ask a Dark Sider.
There's been a bit o' talk lately about the dark side, and I thought it might be interesting to run a bit of a column about it. So ask me a question via PM and I'll get right onto it.
My views and opinions are not those of other Sith Realists and Sith Organisations out there. Anything I say is said based on my approaches and perspectives unless otherwise mentioned.
For those interested, Khaos, Sith Lord and former Head of the Dark Aspect of the Force Academy, runs a Dark Aspect radio show called Dissonance over at the Knights of Awakening, and he runs a similar program called "Ask a Darkie". If you want a far more informed view than mine, give him a shout and see if he's taking questions for the next "Ask a Darkie".

So, tell me: What is your view of a "dark side"? How do you perceive darkness? Is it a perspective? Or, is it a literal thing?

Why do you want to be a Sith?

2. Do you consider the dark path the "evil" path? Or is it just a "different" path from the Jedi way? How so?
3. In real life, how do you explain to other people that you are a follower of the dark path? Don't people think you are a bad person if you tell them you follow a "dark" path? How do you justify it to other people?

Does that mean that you are only going to answer questions that are submitted by PM?
And this was just an announcement?

Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me

I DID say "via PM", but I will still answer questions posted here.
@SeanChing
1) What drew me to the Dark Path? At the time I was studying theology, because I'd been told that the Sith were based on LaVeyan Satanism. I'd been reading his works as well as Asatru ones. A friend of mine was a Jedi Realist, now a Shadow, and I asked if there were Sith. There were. I read a few of the introductions and saw how it corresponded to what I'd been reading. Both that and LeVey's work struck a chord within me and I felt like the philosophies matched how I approached life. The rest, as they say, is history.
2) It's not evil. Evil is just plain evil. The actions of the Catholic Church are downright evil at times and they're meant to be the greatest source of Light on this earth. Dark isn't evil, dark is merely different. Consider the codes. The Jedi Code revolves around the use of knowledge and personal harmony for good and for peace. The Sith Code is more a mantra about how we approach things.
Jedi seek to better themselves for the greater good. Sith seek to better themselves simply to become better, for whatever reason we like. Part of my training has been fitness based, both losing weight and becoming fit. This coincides with my career, which allows me to provide for my family. The Dark way is just another way, one based on passion and control. We're not bound by as many rules, and are far more individually inclined. Former Dark Knight Richard Irvine can be quoted as saying "Darkness is about the Individual".
3) I don't even bother telling other people about what it is I do. I merely demonstrate it to them. I don't need, or want, to tell people I'm a Sith, or Dark Aspect Force Realist, because they'll just gape or laugh, and I don't have time to deal with that sort of crap. Rather than proclaim what I am, I display it. My knowledge I share, my strength I show. I show them the effects, not the title.

Seems a bit silly to me to create a thread to ask for PMs...wouldn't it be more expedient, and functional, to just use the thread you started about it for the Q/A?
I have no other questions at the moment.
