Being a jedi makes us weak?
As JL has just said emotions are neutral, is up to you to keep balance between good and evil and is really, really hard.
The point is that even if it is hard and difficult and sometimes you (as me and everyone) make a bad decision or stray away the path, it is worthy. Always. You take some risks but is always better than being passive and let every emotion to control you.
In the end, to answer your question, I do not think that being a jedi makes us weak; it makes us more responsible and put us in a position when we have to make hard decisions that can make us weaker or stronger.
Being a jedi just gives you an opportunity, being weaker or stronger is your choice.

Two questions: What is the payoff for all of this self-imposed struggle over illusions like "good" and "evil"? Do you realize that the one who built those definitions is you?
If it's really that hard, I suggest a therapist.

Like your definitions of passion and serenity perhaps, from the other thread

Personally I'm most serene when I'm passionate - so any passion which is not generating serenity to me is a specific type of passion.
It's probably a good idea to involve oneself with ones limits - if your not struggling with something then your probably not making progress. Perhaps you do seek serenity Snowy? Just a passionate serenity perhaps!?

I always speak for myself and myself only, that's quite obvious, and yes I know it. The concept here is quite simple: I do something, it hurts. It happens again but this time I think about it and wait (or maybe "struggle") or just calm myself down before making a bad (for me) decision again.Snowy Aftermath wrote: What is the payoff for all of this self-imposed struggle over illusions like "good" and "evil"? EDIT: If I don't define good and evil because these are illusions what should I do? Doing everything I want to like an animal? (just a metaphor since even animals distinguish good from evil from their point of view). This is really off topic anyway, if someone wants to talk about this maybe we should open a new thread.
If you really think thisSnowy Aftermath wrote: If it's really that hard, I suggest a therapist.
Then you should know that "hard" and "easy" are relatives world too and my "easy" is vastly different from yours.Snowy Aftermath wrote: Do you realize that the one who built those definitions is you?
Therefore, since we aren't talking about clinical diseases, I think I'll gently ignore your suggestion.
OT: I think your post is a little bit too aggressive, just saying.

Actually, that's pretty accurate.

Then I'm just unlucky because you could have said those things to (literally) every single person that posted here since, more or less, we are all saying the same things
