Seriously anything real or practical here????

Hi, discovered this website today and I recently went over the forum, after reading all the other stuff. However I do wonder what you guys are on about. I mean I am ketting the impression that this is a freaki g philosophical(?spelling) community. As if your view of a jedi is to be a highly ethical, deep thinker.

As for the force...I dont mean to insult but just asking, is there anything practical? Not even physical training seems to encouraged and meditation....well many dont even kmow what it is. As for the sake of this I have a good background in mind powers and magick, but now I end up thinking I am on a poetry website...

Have you looked through the sermons, the Initiate programme? Browsed the forum? Meditation is a common topic..

As for physical training... I don't think it's generally encouraged specifically in many religions or faiths but no-one criticises them for it. Some will say we should, some say it doesn't matter so much, but that's another discussion entirely.

I feel as though you have come here with an assumption, and looked only for what matches up with your assumption.

I would suggest browsing for a bit longer, without any thoughts about what you expect Jedi to be, and you may find something more than a 'poetry website', you may even find something meaningful for yourself. Or if not, no worries, you may find it somewhere else.

As for your concerns about the practicality of this community, I had similar views when I first started here. You will find a few people here who are very intelligent and who are doing things to better the Order, but you will also find people who are just here to talk or share ideas. There a few "arm chair philosophers" but mostly everyone here has genuine interest and motives. If you're looking for what Jedi do in the community and where we meet and that sort of thing, I think it's best if a senior member answers that qustion.

You guys are picking on my individual words. Read only the title and answer that instead. Oneiros how can I ellaborate....I have a very good background and I did not get into magick by discovering a book or anything like. I have expeirences with real powerful spirits and know real info about magick and such. I am also aware there is MUCH crap about it on the net and in books, like most of it is95% at least....

Perhaps keeping an open mind and interacting with the community in a friendly, non judgmental manner might earn you the answers you seek. You ask if we are Real or Practical when I could ask the same about you and your claims of Magick and Powerful Spirit encounters.

Perhaps we could play a game of friendship You ask a singular question about us. And we can ask one about you? I love these kinds of games as it helps us all to get to know one another in a friendly and constructive manner.

As to your title question. Is there any serious, real or practical things here? Your answer would be. Yes. *bows*

Real powerful spirits and real info about magick, huh? You should consider James Randi's million dollar challenge.

Also, since your usage of the world real seems to differ vastly from the colloquial one , could you please define it for us, so that we can respond to the question you posed in the title? Thank you.

Sadly many people seek their originality by comparing themselves with others.
I believe tolerance is a great step before the understanding, but this is just my opinion of course.
But we can all understand that if someone need to reach the force more closely he needs to "understand" the Force, among other things that could be in the way.
So personally i could say that the Force stands thousands miles away from this specific thread.
At last i need to emphasize that my intention was not to mock the opinions of this thread, and mostly to admit that i love poetry. Poetry can be used easily as mind control, (or soul control ) if it helps the sake of "searching for magic powers".
