lol....
Wait, are we taking about peoples emotions, or their feelings?
Feeling get hurt by rudness, not emotions... Emotions are the reactions to the hurt feelings, anger, sadness...

Of course, one would question why one would need to be a douche bag, as that is also not in keeping with the first line of the code, as such posting is colored with emotions and feelings. If it is not, then you are doing so unconciously, which lacks awareness, or clinically, which is sociopathic, and one wonders at ones intentions if emotionally removed from there douche baggery.
Still, none of the above rules apply to me one way or the other.
All conversations revolve around manipulation in some form, so I dont begrudge anyone there attempts.
I do know that my father advised me never to get involved in conversations regarding religion(a broad term for him, encompassing spirituality, metaphysics, superstition, etc) politics, and football.
Which, aside from football, is the source of conversations here.
Which are bound to lead to emotions, feelings, etc being involved, and Jedi code or not, I think I would questions someones beliefs more and there state of mind were they not close to ones heart.

Interesting logic. You are basically saying you can be as big a douche bag as you want and its the other persons lack of "Jedi juice" that they would get upset with that.
No. I am basically saying that we all are much better off concentrating on not being upset than in not upsetting

Is life about balance?
Shouldnt we work on both "not offending others" as well as "not being offended"?
After thinking about Khaos' words, it does seem like you are not doing any of the work (in this arena) on self improvement, and assigning it to.others...
Just a thought...

Yes, but the problem with this idea comes with the realization that you can't control whether or not other people are offended. You can only control whether or not you are offended, since the only feelings you have control over are yours.

While reading the past few exchanges the thought that came to mind was from south park when a concussed cartman said:" I love you guys" :woohoo:

Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken

When you refuse to feel offence, no-one can offend you, and therefore, they do not need to worry about offending you. Instead of making them submit to your ideas of right/wrong, you make yourself more tolerant of them.
