Which is the best martial art(s) for a jedi
Go luck in Aikido, its a fun art but ya the legs get the brunt of it. Jujuitsu can be the same as well but both are good arts.

hours in the horse stance...as this is the primary stance that gets used...powerful yet immobile, then there's the cat stance, mobile yet lacking in power...i prefer a modified stance similar to the one used in jeet kune do, but weight is kept 50/50 vs 60/40...as i'm ambidextrous southpaw or orthodox means little to me, i use both and can switch back and forth during sparring to increase the amount of time i can go for

Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony

the current name is \"free running\" ...of course they will probably change it again soon
Its been free running in the UK for a good many years now
Some folk have complained about it (ie encouraging burglars etc) but id rather people did this in the streets than skateboarding in places intended for pedestrians (ie keep to the parks or learn proper surfing

Is it a martial art - not in the strict definition - on the other hand - one can say cycling is a martial art seeing as bicycles have been used in warfare.
I digress

The best martial Art is knee-do - easy to learn but difficult to master - one hit put downs

I personally believe that traditional martial art schools offer the optimal training conditions for learning versus books or tapes/dvds. Traditional schools allow for direct critisim of form and movement execution. With instructors there for questions and fellow students there for sparring that kind of environment is hard to beat.
Forms, katas, or whatever they may be called in any particular style, are important because they are like shadowboxing. They allow you to continue your practice when a partner is unavailable. And repeatition of movement, you do not 'learn and obtain that knowledge', it must be ingrained into your muscle memory so that it becomes instinct and automatic.
As was stated earlier, there are so many different styles, for so many different people. Within each style, so many different types of teachers, for so many types of students.
Do your research. Find a style and instructor that fits you. And do not be satisfied. Keep learning new styles (if possible), reading books, watching/studying instructional videos.
In short (is that possible after that rant?),never think that you have finished your studying or you already learned that... Keep studying! Keep practicing!

i have done karate and other martial arts and found them to be boring in respects to fighting time not enough contact etc etc.
I started boxing and exelled at it and found the work out and fighting was tougher hence i carried on with it till this day.
just my thoughts on this i am hoping i am not steeping on toes here as i am new to this....

I had a new person enter our do-jang yesterday. She said what we do is way different than the way her Master teaches. They practiced mostly kicking. We do a little of everything, kicking, sparring (mostly kicking), self-defense, and one-step sparring (how to counter a punch).
If there was one answer, skijin, there would only be one Martial Art. One religion. One kinda beer....
I'm sure you can tell what's best for you....
BUT, do not stop learning.....
