Good suggestion, I'll mention it to Jestor

EDIT: Yes we do on our application, I'll suggest adding a box where you can type where you heard about us

I just looked at that. We may want a write in blank space for specifics. It may ID some friendly sources we don't know?

Metsu Desal, maybe we just have different motives for identifying with the name Jedi. I hope you don't mind me sharing my opinion about it.

Alternatively if you're looking for a quality well designed brown hoodie I suggest you look in a shop.

It was just a suggestion.

...most of us have real lives...jobs, families, etc so we do TOTJO in our free time...

Some look at their being a Jedi conversely. With TOTJO being just how they connect to other real life Jedi. My point being, some people's real lives do in fact work toward Jedi realities and they just communicate with others online.

...there would have to be a demand for said product...and a handful of people does not count as a demand...and then a supply...so without one or the other...we have no grounds to do this.

Is this negativity or are you just informing us about economics? (I'm not trying to incite you, I just want to point out the confusion I had here.)

...I could do this or that...but how do you know I haven't?

I wasn't accusing anybody of not. Just pointing out other options.

TOTJO Highers have looked at physical temples...and like most members that have been here a while...will state we don't need a physical temple despite how much we would enjoy one...and before you even begin to rattle on about how you're only "planning" I can just rebuttal you with this three word response.

So Am I.

This sounds pretty harsh. Was it meant to be? Planning works better when the people involved are working together on such a project. I had not seen said thread before starting a new thread on it. And no matter how hard we try, we can not conduct the same types of training online as we could in a physical place where there are other people to train with.

…the moment the money starts coming in. Who keeps track of it? Who has access to it? Who decides how it gets used? And who is held responsible when it is used? I'm sure some of this has been looked at by TOTJO highers already.

Is this addressed in that "Actual Churches" topic you linked to? I'm still working through it, as well as all the past "temple" topics under General Discussion. I didn't find the answers in the F.A.Q. either.

Peace

You're entitled to your opinion, everyone here is :-) I'm sorry if you find my response a little harsh or blunt...It was more jovial set than harsh, although I will admit I'm a very blunt person I do try and be polite as possible about it, my sense of humor is of a semi sarcastic nature so my apologies if I was a little too blunt.

That's because personally I wouldn't want anyone "knowing" who runs the finances in my 'company' because then they're more likely to get pestered.
However it IS mentioned in the FAQ, the person in charge of the funds is listed as the "Treasurer" and that can be found here

So I hope that clears up your questions brother.

If it helps I work at a printing press called MinuteMan. Posters, business cards, booklets, fliers, postcards and such. I could print business cards with our insignia on the front and the web link on the back, just for handing out. Any other ideas would be helpful...

Depends on what you want and how much. For small projects, like say, 1,000 of the cards I mentioned, I would just do it myself and donate them. This I could do about once a month, if the projects stay small. If you want something more complicated or in larger quantities I would have to get you a quote based on what your looking for. I can probably wrangle a pretty good discount at that point, too. A good rule to consider is the more complicated (i.e. 2 sided, folded, mailed, expensive paper or card stock,or in color)the piece is, the more it will cost to manufacture. I have to cover production costs because I don't own the press.

Regardless of the order, I'll help with the price by paying some out of my own pocket. There are limits to what I can do, of course, and they would be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

WOW, thanks rugadd....

Very generous...

How are you settled for shipping abilities?

Not thinking of cost, we could ask members to foot that part if the want something...

People all would want cards or something, and could get VERY taxing very quick...
