I was wondering what is the TOTJO´s opinion on suicide.

I, personally think that one´s life is only his own and he has all the rights to end it at anytime. I would like to know your opinions on this topic, also, what do you think about euthanasia.

Death is one of the few constants in this universe. The sooner people accept that fact, the sooner they will realize that suicide has as little meaning as birth. They are one in the same, both extraordinary events, and empty at the same time.

I'm in no hurry. There's still lots of things todo and learn. I'd like all the time I can get before my transition. I figure the more time I spend in this form the better prepared I'll be. For the next. I'm in no hurry.

Every time i think of suicide, i get too scared to do anything. and the darkness, i know you dont feel it, but it gives me the creeps i wont see Humanity destroy mother earth. but who wants to burn to death? or get hit by a missile intended to kill one person, but will destroy whole countries. it will happen. there is no point. if your life is so depressed and you cant run, blame who ever made your life crap and move on . if you really cant do that then get a new name, new identity and find a desert island, live with coconuts in a wooden hut...you only live once, dont waste it...

I concur with the OP. If one chooses to end this incarnation, than that is one's choice.

After all, your only hurting yourself...

I suppose if you don't give a crap about those that care about you then go for it.

Sounds to me like a bunch of people who have never had to live with the consequences of someone elses actions...

One is only hurting oneself when one considers the form of ones body as what and who one IS. Once one realizes this is not the case, one will realize one can never hurt oneself.

So, because an individual decides the current incarnation being experienced needs to end that means this individual is not caring about others? I am not really sure how this is even an argument, however, it doesn't really sound like you give a crap about the one that decided to leave. Not really doing their memory much of a service,

One only has to live with someone elses consequences if one chooses too. And what consequences of someone committing suicide would you have to live with?

I would definitely be negative about suicide of people that are needed to be alive for others to live should never commit suicide, the best example here are parents. But a person who has his own life, doesn´t feed anybody and can be basicaly substituted by some other person has all the rights to die.

We Jedi should value life, but one´s life is only his own. We can help him get a better life, but we cannot judge him for his lack of will to live.

Life is a gift, and as such, once you get it, you can do anything you want with it.
If we take people the option of suicide, we take something precious out of their life, making it less valuable.

We are not our own. That's the biggest misconception of them all.
