It's about the same. Different price ranges for different stuff. You just get more variety. Different tastes, effects, potencies.

He was dying and his doctors said nothing more could be done. The father knew that cannabis had been known to cure cancer. He asked the doctors about that. Not only didn’t the oncologists take such questions seriously, they said that to even discuss such a treatment within the walls of the hospital could cause the hospital to lose federal funding.

So the parents, receiving advanced cancer care for the boy in a state that does not allow medical marijuana, had a choice to make. They could do the right thing, the legal thing, and let their child die because to try and save him would be illegal. Or they could do the other right thing and give him the oil from a plant that anyone can grow in their backyard–but which happens to be a controlled substance.

That Cash is alive and laughing like a three-year old today tells you all you need to know about his parents. They are outlaws.

Thank you very much for sharing this! I know a doctor involved in making CBD tinctures. CBD is the main cancer fighting substance and it also counter balances the THC. The Pharmaceutical establishment has federal patents pending on CBD tinctures, but the Federal government still goes after this doctor for developing them!! Do I smell big corporate lobbyists?

I do not understand the amount of attention this topic has gotten. I would think that as Jedi there would be more important things to discuss then rather or not people should have the right to get high.

For example: (as of 12-19-11 @ 18:27 cst)
1. Marijuana (86 replies, 13.31k views, and only open for two months)
2. Evolution (28 replies, 3503 views, 2 months 1 week)
3. Child abuse (46 replies, 4495 views, 1 month 2 weeks)
4. Monogamy (36 replies, 6629 views, 3months)

It may not be true, but if I was visiting and looking around, it would appear that we care more about smoking pot than anything else. And for that reason I am ashamed to post here again.

Basically because, in the US anyway, we've artificially inflated the importance and seriousness of 'recreational' drug use - especially mary jane - and it's reflected here, in the forum.

That people are in prison right now because of cannabis makes this a moral issue! An issue of rights that can be solved very easily. The framework is in place for a solution! Is it wrong for a Jedi to speak their opinion against injustice? Or is it beneath us because the injustice is against those with apparent vices (stoners)?
A lot of the conflict you see in this post is VERY reflective of the frustration people have with laws that don't serve the people. Yet, every person should have the right to alter their experience. In a safe way! Altering perceptions is part of our MYTHOS as humans. I would have thought the topic would have ended a long time ago. Primarily, because there's only so many times you can circle jerk an issue.
The fact of the matter is that the consequences of criminalization of the substance is far more maligned than the drug itself. It seems the actual use of the substance by a Jedi, might just be up to the Jedi.
The numerous posts on this topic certainly speaks to me of the wide array and expansiveness of the people that make this wonderful organization. I hope it never changes! It is like the facets of a diamond. Every side and characteristic of the order makes it shine that much brighter! It's why I'm here!
