Well, they've not left yet, the populace has only made a determination that they want to leave. According to my friend Sotunus, the official decision will be made next week.

The decision to leave has been made and the EU themselves are talking about a timescale for our departure. There's no decision next week - they're going to elect a new Prime Minister who will then aim to start the countdown to our departure when elected in October, if the EU haven't decided for us first.

And yet with certain things coming to light since the results (such the whole £350+ mil that could be transfered to the NHS being completely false, but supposedly being one of the main reasons behind the leave vote) does the possibility exist that such a decision might be reversed? Everything we're hearing here says that this vote is not legally binding. Obviously Cameron's decision to resign as a result makes things a bit more complicated...

Oh, I get that. And I understand it. But if a lot of the votes were based on promises that are being revealed to have been false immediately following the election, would it not be beneficial to call for a revote and see if that remains? Just curious what the reactions might be on your side of the pond.

I can't believe anybody really thought all that money would only go to the NHS (the £350m figure was wrong anyway)...

That said, back to the OP... I do have to agree with Edan that's very much an extreme way to look at things... and a bit borderlining of fear spreading propaganda, in my opinion ...

They won. That's it. Now we have to deal with the consequences of that decision.

And no offence but almost everyone I know voted to leave the EU, personally here it was a victory.
