Vampire lifestyle, is there danger?
Yabuturtle wrote: I know enough of some of the practices particularly the occultist vampires but I wish to know more so I can find out the truth about this.
Then maybe you should talk to more people who are vampires. Why are you wasting your time talking to me as if I have what you need? You come in here with a lot of preconceptions and throw around terms like normal yet this Temple and what it stands for are anything but normal. You're not likely to find your answers here. I suggest you seek out your answers among vampires.

Why even bother?
All learning starts off a base set of knowledge or assumptions. So I think it's not so much a measure of how correct anyone is, but rather sharing views. If all the focus was on how little someone knew then the topic would be the person instead of the topic, yet if everyone who was happy to share added their thoughts about the topic then people might be able to move out of assumptions or grow their level of knowledge. Given all that though, sometimes people will defend their original beliefs and only take on things which agree with them.... but it usually is good enough to give people the benefit of the doubt and then if they choose to entrench a particular decision I would agree, it serves no purpose to bother continuing.

At the first gate, ask yourself “Is is true?”
At the second gate ask, “Is it necessary?”
At the third gate ask, “Is it kind?”

No, you don't. Nothing about anything else you say implies like you give half a rat's arse what they are like, you are already well into the judgemental phase with them.Yabuturtle wrote: I want to know what this group is actually like.
I question your sanity, dear sir. Some of them have used dark magic to do such things and even engage in sexual fetish when it comes to blood. If you know someone like that, you should probably question their sanity.
... I already know dark magic exists and psi feeding does happen to other people. So it's not in my head.
I don't know what else there is out there of you on the internet, but on this site you have a history of lying about what you say, what others say, and facts of the matter, repeatedly and unapologetically, with arguments no more sophisticated than "it's my experience" and "how dare you question me" of one kind or another. So I apologize if your "knowing such people" and what they are like bears no impact. I'm not saying it would if it was true either. Let's say you are right and aside from a few good apples the entire vampire subculture was into mentally burdening each other or piercing each other's skins to suck blood during sex. What exactly is wrong about that and what is your psychiatric expertise leading you to declare that it is sick? Why should anybody care in the least? And why do you even ask if you already have all the answers? Haven't we had this same argument twice already?
Better to leave questions unanswered than answers unquestioned

I'm here because I appreciate the decorum with which the majority of our members conduct themselves, yet I'm disappointed with how tempers are flaring over such a silly issue. In the interest of helping steer us back to the Way that we are all seeking, I offer this reminder of one of my favorite Rumi quotes:
Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates:
At the first gate, ask yourself “Is is true?”
At the second gate ask, “Is it necessary?”
At the third gate ask, “Is it kind?”

From one dragon to another, Cable, it is unproductive to tell folks here what is a good or poor use of their time. It's also unproductive to appreciate decorum because we tend to change faces rather quickly. We're a diverse group at all different stages of our journeys and some who post here don't even claim the Jedi label at all. If you're going to get disappointed about tempers flaring, you're going to be disappointed a LOT. Not everyone here is seeking the "way" you speak of, and your "way" is very likely different from that of others. That's not a bad thing.
That said, what I *have* found to be productive, and what I've been practicing lately in regard to the forum (sometimes to greater success than others), is sitting back, watching the discussion and asking curious questions, gently making suggestions like this one, or cracking the nut a little so someone else can open it the rest of the way. Not passing judgment, just observing and reflecting. There are no bad people or "silly discussions" here. If it is important to one person it should be treated respectfully.
But you're never going to enforce this or that idea or rule of behavior in a group like this one. Especially as a new guy. Add to that the fact that the only one in life you can ever really change is yourself, and there you go

But that's just from one dragon to another

Some of them are the psychic ones that feed of psychic energy. Some literally drink blood from donors but that's not as common.
I want to know what this group is actually like. Some of them have used dark magic to do such things and even engage in sexual fetish when it comes to blood. If you know someone like that, you should probably question their sanity.
I know people are going to say they don't do such things but I already know dark magic exists and psi feeding does happen to other people. So it's not in my head. I've dealt with people like that before.
I know of a girl that's part of a real vampire community. She's a Wiccan or at least claim she is, and has studied the occult, and someone who follows the vampire lifestyle and combines it with the occult is usually a bad combination. If they are not actually bad, some will at least be unethical, like feeding a little energy, tricking people out of money ect. I was wondering what you thought about this and how could I tell if the girl I like is good or actually engages in unethical practices.
Every one has a choice to make in their path. I would hope that here in a Jedi community you are receiving a lot of encouragement to see k your own path. Friend, every path is different and I hope you find yours. You asked if you think there is danger.
Some times we ask the questions we already know the answers to, conformation of what we already know or feel is some times what we seek. Not saying you already have your mind made up but do not be afraid friend, every path worth finding and seeking is worth having. Some don't understand the Other paths available only the conventional and the ones we have a "real" connection to. Be strong and know your path ...you will find it. In this Temple we push value of character and self merit. You are on your way.!
My own personal path has crossed this idea. One of many. personally I didn't find much benefit to those I incorporated with during my search. That doesn't say that you will not find your...Balance... Me personally I encourage you to continue to find more. Search out more and keep it up it is the search, the pursuit that aids us on our path some days! Keep it up friend!
