After all, are we really 'civilised' ? :pinch:

:P

Were three meals away...

"No society is more than three meals away from revolution."

Or collapse.

Katrina is a good example.

There are others.

You can put up with a lot of B.S.

Food?

Water?

No you cant put up with a lot of not having any.

i think a big thing people miss is when they first start thinking about SHTF scenarios is that all the great ideas you have about where youll go and what youll do are pretty much exactly the same ideas that a hundred thousand other people have and in many cases theres just not room for everyone

if the government does actually break down and the men with assault rifles dont lock us all in our homes

i feel like the plans with the best long term survival possibilities will depend on a combination of factors, all of them predetermined

1) predetermined alliance/organizational structure

2) communications

3) mobility

4) rendeveouz

5) being able to produce food and aquire water

6) being able to produce electricity

7) being able to provide stability and security for those who did not plan as well

8) being able to defend your resources

9) having a plan which culminates in the reformation of society - not necessarily the same way but ultimately the likelihood of survival is always a matter of cooperation

the lone wolf goes usually goes hungry or becomes food

stability is the only reason for government and its stability that society requires (as opposed to government for its own sake) so the better plans are for allowing large groups of people to reclaim some basic sense of stability the more support you will have in rebuilding and surviving

people will want to live peacefully

all it will take for the mad max fantasy landers to come to their senses will be a few minutes in mad max land where people really die and they really might be next

the roaming roving maruading bands of pirates will be only one option

if you provide a better option most will commit to it once theyve had a taste of the reality

a few hours on youtube will teach how to generate electricity

aquaponics offers a great way of producing food

theoretically one could produce an aquaponic system that could be transported when needed

People are complicated.

SHTF sounds basically like survival of the fittest, with fitness defined by the prevailing circumstances. Which makes me think mobility is key, just to have a chance of defining those circumstances to some extent to align with your own capabilities/capacities. That 'could' include staying put, but not always.... do you follow the crowd or plan ahead!! I guess if you've planned ahead you can lead the crowd, or avoid it without going the wrong way.

When Ms Adder went overseas on business to a new place I gave her a brief about locations of police stations, hospitals, embassies, direction and distance to seaports, airports and the coastline, and a run-down on the layout of the city around her hotel. LOL, why not.

Upon re-reading that I didn't mean to imply that we are actually more elite than everyone else, just that we occupy the "elite" place in comparison to others in the world.

The question is more: What kind of world are we going give to kids in legacy?

Civilization more advanced than us had collapse and completely dissapear.
We have a lot of evidence of this & that is coming in our ways again.

I think we got to continue training and don't fall spiritualy asleep.
Have a good relationShip with the Force.
Evolution it's our only stairup or we going to fail and return to square one.

We are in good position to be well prepared.
Our first instruments are the music and vibrations.
I am sure everything has been set by YHVH long time ago.
The Force are going to help us and make our lightsaber in the way.

As long as we be in mouvement and in good frequency.
Relativity going to play in our favor. We have free will and the secret keys.
Jedi need to be well prepared because we are the Guardian of Life.
We need to take this very seriously. Life is not a game.
B) Life is beautiful and we have all the tools to accomplish our mission.

:silly: what happen to me? I don't know.
I am only a humble servant of the Force.
Work, Love & Freedom
Tenants, Pillars & Creed

Emotion, yet Peace
Ignorance, yet Knowledge
Passion, yet Serenity
Chaos, yet Harmony
Death, yet the Force

Honestly, neither in my opinion.

My opinion on why "prepper" is a dirty word is this: if you learn to live in balance with the world around you as well as you can, then whatever collapse happens will affect you very little, because you'll already be living in a sustainable way (except for maybe Internet access and chocolate runs at midnight).

Being a Jedi, I think, is similar.

lol its the chocolate runs that make me want to prevent the crash

to my way of thinking being in harmony includes a harmony with ones society - which includes preventing catastrophe from time to time

the reason the jedi were respected so much of the galaxy was because they endeavored to be a relevant force (!) for stability and peace

i belive thats a good ideal for us to emulate

theres a line which needs to be drawn about just how much influence jedi as a social institution ought to exercise but preventing the total collapse of civilization is definitely on the go side of that line

People are complicated.

Which civilisations do we know about that have been more advanced than our currently industrialised societies?

Fictional ones perhaps, but are they reliable models with which to compare to?

This is because of the flood and our binary sun that erased everything.
Materials have a life time too. However, we can see it in the mysterious knowledge of sumerian.
And the perfection of pyramid in Egypt. Even if there could be giant they would need machine to made that perfection isometric.
The 'wanabee' gods that made a "clone" of gilgamesh.

I know it's all story and we don't have really proof. But I will search a video on the equinox preception. (I don't know if I said it well)
We have four different polar star during the curve. Now Polaris.
Then in the next polar shift our new polar star will be vegas they think.
Anyway, give me some times. And I will found a good video in english.
