Adder wrote: When I briefly worked in real estate I saw that most of those who lived 'the life' were actually going backwards and living beyond their means. Many had a headstart through inheritance though... so normal people (start with nothing) cannot keep up with that spending/lifestyle, but it seems common for people to abuse debt to 'live rich' even in an unsustainable way. The ones who were 'really' rich walked around in cheap clothes and drove a 20 year old car they've looked after - they just weren't spending/wasting it.

Though we dunno how long we're here for so its a puzzle how to achieve a balance between happiness in the now and financial security for the then.

We teach people how to develope a revenue stream that continues to pay them no matter what the economy is doing. We teach people the meaning of delayed gratification. No one lives the lifestyle of the "rich" until they are completely debt free. We do NOT teach people to spend money they don't have for luxury. We help them develope a business mindset and guide them through the mine fields of life.

Those in real estate and especially doctors leverage themselves so deeply that when the economy takes a dive, they usually do the same. The live the "lifestyle" but can never stop working because the "lifestyle" will end. We show people how to generate cash flow that allows them to retire young and live a happier, healthier lifestyle.

"Why doesn't everyone do it?" Because only 2% of people are willing to work hard and pay the price for success. The other 98% would rather blame the world and complain about life not being fair. Anyone can do what we do, they just have to want something bad enough to fight for it.

house flipping in florida was part of the problem with the slow recovery...

people were over valuing homes before selling them...i built one house that should have been priced around 250k...the builder was selling it for 675k...the whole sub-division was like that...that builder is no longer in business...but pricing like that was rampant before the collapse...a lot of people paid those prices, then after the collapse lost everything...

i've never had interest in "keeping up with the jones's"....i'm not motivated by excessive gain...

above was what i'd do if i were to become "rich" or wealthy...

i'd be happy with a good size piece of property that i could build my own home on...and lately most of my home designs would fall under the "micro homes" concept...i've been drawing up new ones in chief architect...

I'm probably going to use the bulk of any potential wealth I receive or earn in my life to further the Jedi. Invest in temple space, philanthropic events, etc. I don't know how much it will be (if I make ANY money, I'll be happy... ), but the possibilities are exciting.

Same sort of thing is happening with the housing market here. My friends 3 bedroom house about 30 minutes outside the centre city is now worth 760K. and while its nice, there is really no reason for that at all. When I lived closer to the city, I had a 1.5 bed apartment that was recently sold for 450K. Its seriously insane. People have been priced right out of the market. but, we live on an island. Limited space. And the bubble cant last forever.

I know people who tithe 5% of their income to their church. These same people make about $5,000,000 a month. That is $60,000,000 per year, net. They basically tithe $3,000,000 a year to their church. Think of what you can do for the Jedi Temple and creating a physical Temple in your area.

And no, I'm not exadurating or bullshitting.

Silver, I'm a little confused. You can't tithe 5% of your income.... that doesn't make sense.

(Sorry, I'm just being an ass. lol. In the biblical sense...)

Lol good point. The other 5% they give to their community. So it is 10% but not all of it goes directly to the church.
