ER Nurses wept at the sight of his injuries

We did this before.. and now we have the country of Australia..

Haha! See, I wanted to say that, but I didn't want to offend any Ausies we may have lurking. Personally, I wouldn't want to send anyone who was exiled to anywhere quite so infested with wildlife that will kill you with no provocation. :silly:

You bring up a good point on exile in general, ren - what people wants to receive another nation's exiles? What do you think may be considerations in doing right by the place they go?
Jedi Knight
The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainty in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and calls that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity.

In my opinion, a large, unpopulated area would do just fine. Preferably an island. Somewhere they could not interact with society again, but would have to provide their own food/clothing/etc... Again, it's a great theory and would work in an ideal world, but this is definitely not ideal, so the logistics of implementing a program like that would be problematic to say the least.

G'day matez, No offence

We don't have much history compared to places like Europe so we take whatever we can get, good or bad.
I'm no expert but it was a penal colony as opposed to a convict dumping ground, with a large number of the immigrants actually being prison guards and military... which was the foundation for society to grow - where upon release the convicts managed to learn to live with (to some extent) their once overlords. Fast forward 200+ years and it could explain why our political system is divided between blue collar (left, union-centric) and white collar (right, business-centric), roughly speaking. I'm not sure if that is relevant to this topic but I couldnt resist being from/at downunder.

Sadly, I don't think that is just an issue in Australia.
