I can say what brought the topic over the line for me. (BTW, nobody's been censored or banned. Sometimes a thread is locked for a time out so things can get sorted and reconciled.) I'm looking at it through the perspective of a casual browser or a new member. Someone not familiar with our protocols. Taken as a whole with the language about students, training, masters, apprentices etc and the responses of an apprentice / student - it could easily give the impression it's a teaching of The Order by an authorized teacher of The Order.
That's it. It's easy to remedy.

Asking someone to explain their thoughts and feelings on something expressed is a form of instruction. Based on his answer, Mortose would have given him further instructions or a lesson. So to say it's just promoting thought is an assumption based on ignorane, sorry to say.
I doubt my master asks me my thoughts and feelings on things just to hear what I have to say. There is a reason behind it...and since Lykeios is Mortose's apprentice, then any such questions are part of a lesson or teaching.
Yet, I gave him no further instruction here did I? I thanked his post and moved on. It was for you the concerned Jedi to offer him teaching... Something which you failed at miserably!
He has been learning at this temple for a while before he ever met you. He makes his own choices. If he had already decided that this temple had nothing to offer him and that you did, there is nothing any of us could say that could make him feel any differently. He makes his own choices...it's not up to us to save him. And I have already given him my warnings privately. He feels he's got things well in hand, something I don't agree with, but I will never be able to convince him otherwise. So offering us an opportunity to "instruct" or save him is a moot point.
And I still hold to the fact that asking those questions, for whatever the reason, is a form of instruction. Whether you chose to further your instruction privately or not is also a moot point. You began the instruction publicly.

More bull crap...
I could have asked anyone the same question, would it have been "instruction" then?
Also, as a side note... new members can CLEARLY see the "GUEST" under my name...

I wouldn't say that... lol...
Perhaps he isn't ready...
And yea, ya did keep it up...

I choose to give you a little more leash to damn yourself with others, lol...
See, really, if you three, four actually, don't like it, quit logging in...
Instead of acting like children, either accept the conditions, or move on...
That is the way of the world....
Before you start with how Jedi are supposed to be all "loving and caring", and trying to define a Jedi, when you are not one, I have one more thingto say, a little advice...
Sith ain't evil...
Jedi ain't saints...
I'm going to ask all TOTJO members to stop responding to these individuals...
Like a internet forum shunning...
We will still be reading of course, and any one is able to.post, no repercussions, bit as Mortose pointed out earlier, wouldn't non interaction, non responding be more efficient....
Watch your words, I will still be deleting comments of inappropriate nature...

On walk-about...
Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....

As far as I can tell, Mortose was already given a warning about this. So this was the second chance... and also, it was being handled privately by those involved. It was Mortose's choice to make it public. So...really...who is stirring the trouble?

What do you not understand about me saying "It's easy to remedy"? All that's necessary is a disclaimer at the beginning of posts or a slight change in the choice of language.

You have been a guest here how many days? And yet this is the only thread you responded to. And all youve done is made assumptions and hurl accusations. Youve not been here long enough to have any idea of what the history is. Perhaps Mortose has already had chances? As I recall, when she joined it was on the back of a nasty situation and banning at another site. She was welcomed here without regard for her past. Seems a most Jedi virtue to me.
Im curious guest Apathy, what is your interest in this other than to point fingers and stamp your feet?
Walking, stumbling on these shadowfeet
Part of the seduction of most religions is the idea that if you just say the right things and believe really hard, your salvation will be at hand.
With Jediism. No one is coming to save you. You have to get off your ass and do it yourself - Me
