Usually it's the youngest that gets the silver spoon mentality...rarely see the oldest get like that...just shows there're exceptions to every rule....
the current generation is being referred to as the "entitlement" generation...they feel that they're entitled to everything and don't have to work for it...it's different from us generation "x"ers, or the baby boomers, etc...but then again technology is partly to blame...but not completely...it's largely the parents not wanting their kids to struggle or suffer as they did when they were kids...children need to struggle sometimes, they need to learn the hard way...it builds character and gives experience...
As a side note in regards to zombies...I saw a girl today wearing a shirt that said: "I like you, but if zombies start chasing us I'm tripping you"
I had a good laugh from it

Warning: Spoiler!
There is passion, yet there is peace
Through passion I gain strength and knowledge
Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me

Don't forget to take away the magazines and don't go out of the house(to many signs and billboards). While your IN the house, black out all the covers and labels on the food, items and your clothing, while your at it.

Convictions are more dangerous foes of truth than lies.
Control?
control of the cops with whatever it is they want.
That's how you don't end up behind bars.
Needless to say, the guy's got a point: stats show that for equal crime, cops and judges will act differently based on skin color. gender too. White women get it easy, black men get it hard.
I also think that perception of injustice (justified or not) fuels more crime. People who feel the system doesn't like them, in return, do not like the system. And they certainly aren't going to give a great many damns about its rules.

As a corrections officer, you should know that society creates the conditions of poverty, inequality, and the modus operandi for most crime. What passes for assault on an officer is: farting on them, spitting at them, saying bad words to them, etc. Resisting arrest includes fleeing and officers frequently abuse it as an excuse to justify excessive force.
I would question the legitimacy of calling a prison a correctional facility and a jailer a correctional officer. I would also call into question the legitimacy of the laws that were supposedly broken as well as the sentencing guidelines.
In a way, you're actually a jailer working for a corporation and your business model is locking humans in cages for as long as possible.

It is not his bussiness model. If it is at all a bussiness model it is the "corporations" bussiness model.
About the corporation itself, I don't know how the prision sistem works in the US, I believe prisions are privately managed, but that is only the information I got from movies. Perhaps you cared to explain your point a little further.
Why do you feel the prision is a corporation that profits from having criminals deprived of their liberty?
Why do you feel that the laws broken have no legitimacy?
Why do you feel the sentencing guidelines are wrong?
And about the assault on an officer, if a person walked up to you and started insulting you, farting and/or spitting at you wouldn't you under US law have grounds to go to report it? is it not a crime when done to you?
And if it is, Why do you feel the police officer deserves less protection than you for instance? Are they not normal people?
