Lol, by sneak I mean I quietly go only to watch. Not to participate, and only beacause I dont subscribe to any of those religions.

Although I was recently in the cathedrals in Malta where I was just sitting admiring the architecture when Mass suddenly started, there was much sneaking OUT and I got some very dirty looks :)

Hmmmm that really is a tough one. I am still having trouble defining what I think religion is.

I guess what I want out of religion, as I see it now, is peace, calm, and understanding.

A framework for spiritual practise. Not so overt that it impedes individuality and not so discreet that I get too lost in my wanderings.

@wescli...nice new avatar....g.I squirrel

Hmmm what do I want from religion? Nothing, I don't have a religion....I have a philosophical lifestyle that allows me to blend philosophy, spiritualism, science, medicine, martial arts, and personal experiences into my own "system" of explaining and understanding the world as I see, and experience it...

Heh. I don't want anything from religion. I have all I need. Institutions (religions) don't help spirituality, they limit it.

Overall, I know what you mean...

But are you not of the opinion TOTJO is "too loose"?

Or am I mis-remembering a conversation?
