What do I want from this religion...
Being a Jedi does not require a religion.
To quote a movie line...
"The Jedi are extinct, their fire has gone out of the universe. You, my friend, are all that's left of their religion."
I believe this quote was said as an insult to the Jedi in which Tarkin was saying that, after all that the Jedi teach, all that's left is the evil of Vader.
What do I want from what religion would be my question back to you.
That is a very good qustion. I'm not being evasive when saying this but I'm not sure. I'm still pondering the question myself, that's why I asked.
Jedism is a religion, people are attracted to it for a reason. I'm undecided about Jedism. I feel the energy all around us and everthing connecting to everything else just not sure about this place yet.
No offence intended but you're a Knight in this Religion yet you say you need not religion?

If you are taking something then it must be satisfying a desire.

Not everyone here follows Jediism as a religion. There are quite a number of members here who simply see it as a philosophy and path...

Few are those who see with their own eyes and feel with their own hearts.

I didn't ask for definations? I asked for people thoughts and opinions on what they think and believe.

I apologize for not answering your question. I hope this attempt is better at answering.
What I want from this "organization" is knowledge. I want to learn more about what it is this religion stands for, what it's primary tenets are, and whether I can ever truly attain them. I have wandered from religion to religion looking for what I would call the answer to my questions. So far, after what I have read, I am seeing the commonality in my beliefs and the tenets here. Note that I refer to TOTJO as an organization, mainly because I am still seeking my own definition of religion.
What I don't want in general is a laundry list of "Thou shalt's" and persistent negative consequences for the slightest infraction. I have seen firsthand some religions and find that the preacher screaming hellfire from the pulpit as the one true way to heaven, that somehow the people listenting "deserved" to be demeaned in such a way. Other ideologies subtly maneuver you into becoming a true believer, gasping when you find a subject that calls into question even a small part of their belief. Others yet have very simple rules with serious repercussions for violation.
I look here and see a very simple 16 teachings. These are not extravagant rules, and only a few point to believing in the Force. While this is not a point of contention for me, I do find myself attempting to answer people who question what I feel to believe with some hesitation. Sixteen simple teachings in comparison to the hundreds of thousands of verses in the Bible seems a lot easier to incorporate.
Thank you for the opportunity to explain myself further. I look forward to your response.

It is an organization....

And we all are, this is what makes us so unique, in my opinion...
And why we will endure...

On walk-about...
Sith ain't Evil...
Jedi ain't Saints....
