I strongly agree with us jedi learning martial arts, I currently only do scouts and drama, I know these are not really to do with jediism but I used to do karate, now I teach myself jodo (stick fighting, imagine using a dual bladed lightsabre) and hand to hand sword combat (since I was about three and my parents bought me my first plastic sword), I thnk jedi should know martial arts as we are keepers of peace and justice.

As an absolute last resort, I say yes...
Its better than nothing...
But nothing beats an "in-person" instructor....

Ask about working for them, cleaning or something...
In the old days, the students did the menial, maintenance work, and the instructors took it for payment...
Its worth a shot..

Personally I think Jedi Realist should do real training in the martial arts. However home training can be better then nothing but it can also be more dangerous. In class if you use poor technique it can be corrected, in home workouts that is not possible.

true...at the very least get the basics on proper technique from those that have mastered them...but also ask questions and get as much information and understanding as to why the basics are done a certain way (anatomy,physics,etc)...with a solid understanding of the basics you can then go on to train on your own...

Through strength and knowledge I gain victory
Through victory I gain peace and harmony
Through peace and harmony my chains are broken
There is no death, there is the force and it shall free me
