I try to use driving as a Force awareness exercise, and today I had a good one. I was approaching a tight blind climbing set of curves in the road, one which I've driven through at pace many times.... but today I felt at ease to slow to a stop a good 6 yards short of the curves entry point - for no apparent reason. Luckily I had no traffic behind me but I got a strange look from the passenger seat next to me
About 4 seconds later a large truck came around the bend, not fast or out of control, but it needed the space to get through the dipping S bend. There was no way to see it coming, and no way to hear it either... so no apparent cues other then my attempts to tune into the Force

Isn't it funny how you can be working on a project for a while and it just is not going well. You fight with it, get frustrated, and mad enough to walk away, just to come back in an hour and it all fits on the first try without force of effort.
I have had a #10 screw kick my butt on occasions just because I fought with it. I wanted it to come out with such extreme prejudice that the thing would not move. I hate when inanimate object with the brain of a nail get so indignant.
All things have their place and we must accept this. To force someone to do something meets with resistance, but if we only relax our ego and work with them, our combined efforts flow easily. As my dad said, a little grease goes a long way, so too does a little compassion.

Universal Soup
I had this discussion with Daniel in chat the other night, but I figured I would share my thoughts here as well, and I have in fact had this very observation in the past.
I've learned more and more about the idea that what we call "space" is not in fact empty. Feel free to google evidence against or for this, but for the sake of this contemplation, I'll go with it. So we say space is not empty.
I've sat eating a bowl of soup. Looking at the soup, I see its consistency. It's all together, and nothing separating the drops of soup.
I take my spoon, and I get a spoon full of soup, and lift it up out of the bowl.
What is in the bowl... is soup.
What I have on my spoon... is also soup.
Separating what I have on my spoon from the bowl, hasn't changed what it is. It is still the same soup that is in the bowl.
I put the soup in the spoon back into the bowl, and I stir it for a while.
In the idea that space is not in fact empty, I find myself associating it with this soup.
It would imply all things in the universe are together, such as the drops in the soup.
So... what is happening when I take a piece of paper, and I cut it in half? Am I dividing? Or am I just stirring the soup?
Am I just relocating parts of the universe (the soup) into a slightly different part of the bowl, while other parts of the (soup) are taking its place?
If I actually do manage the separate the paper from everything else, if the paper came from the universe, would that mean the paper is still the universe? Just as the soup on my spoon is still soup, non-the-less?
So even if I see myself as separate from everything else, would this imply just the same? That if I am a part of the soup, then I am the soup, regardless of if I see myself separately?
Interesting.

Can't view outside video from wk.
Do you mean this?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Barefoot_Doctor
I'm referring to this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Law_of_attraction
Are we thinking the same thing?

I am familiar with it...
I have used it...
My observations of the "Law" of attraction have been, thru the understanding and use of it, you get what you want about 50% of the time...and thru just going about your life completely unaware of the "law's" existence, you get what you want about 50% of the time...and actively acting in a manner contradictory to the "law" gets you what you want about 50% of the time. My conclusion, therefore, is that the "law" of attraction is mostly crap...kinda like prayer.
No offense meant, just my observations.

No offense taken. It works for me. You muct be certain of what you want is what you need and is right for you. It helps me to make requests while deeply relaxed or while meditating. If a request doesn't happen like I expect I ponder what or how I was asking.
I once requested that I find money, cash, a bag of cash, as a test. I thought of a bag of cash sitting on the side walk. Then I thought that wouldn't be good because it could have been someones savings lost on the way to the bank. Then I thought it might be money from a drug sale or robbery. That didn't seem very good either. Then I found a penny.... dirty, beat up, scared and stained, The ugliest coin I every saw.
Asking to attract money wasn't the right thing for me to do. For me to finda bag of cash could be a loss for someone else or the result of violence and/or have a negative source.
I keep this penny on my keyboard as a lession of what to ask for.
