Ren is riotously grating until you get to know him....then he's just riotous.....but what's the point of taking life too serious?

Whether new or old....a sense of humor is a must

We will all die soon. so why waste it being grim? yes, we do have to follow some rules so that our fun doesnt hurt people, or ourselves. but shouldn't take something so petty like someone sitting in your place or not getting your way to heart, cause your only hurting yourself.

anyway, on to answering the post. yes there are failures, everything is imperfect. but through generations we can improve ourselves, our knowledge and the force.some people come and go meaning they forget or they cant be bothered. OR maybe that they have to do something and you wont see them for a year or so. i know there is much the real jedi need to learn, we learn each day. i can see faults but i wont say them cause i am young and as you can clearly see i am a novice and not so knowing as the masters are. But i will say this once cause i think, for me, this is important. dont rely or trust in something or someone you dont know fully. it can lead to many things, not all are good...

Just one small part I disagree with you here Jestor.

You said, "Christianity is important to many, but not us..."

I would have said, "Christianity is important to many, but not to all of us," or something of that nature. The reason is because there are some here who profess to be Jedi, but still follow the Christian path. Other than that. No real problem.

Well, your Jedi creed shouldn't be important to all of you either then, as that is actually a christian/catholic prayer. St. Francis I believe. Except "divine master" is replaced with "the Force" and "amen" with "I am a Jedi". :)

"Adaption"? Err... no. Look it up on Wikipedia. It's exactly the same.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prayer_of_Saint_Francis

Right down to being "born unto eternal life". Don't you think it's disrespectful to other faiths to steal one of their prayers and claim it as your own?

In my experience it's always been openly attributed to its origins, so using the word 'steal' seems inaccurate.
