How did you find TOTJO?

I found or rather I came to the temple through a google search and because of Starwars

I was curious one day in 2007 after being tired of mainstream religion and I always liked The Force and the history behind it. I begun to search the web for a church just out of humor see if there was such a thing...sure enough there was...several! I quickly begun to research several websites. I quickly became nervous and a little leery about the idea of them giving you info out so I stayed away from the first two and tried the third. The site I believe went down eventually after lack of funding for it and I quickly lost interests.

Then again in 2011 I begun to research alittle more. I came upon my original pick which was TOTJO and became a member and have been here ever since. It truly has changed my faith and the way I look on things in this life. I stopped using the movies based on my beliefs and built my own around totjo. I love being a Jedi.

my spiritual development is in fits and spurts. For a long while, i flip-flopped between considering between buddhism and space-new-age. Jedi-ism, however, seemed to me, to be something of a fusion between both. (?) so i went looking, and now here i am

i may yet likely pursue more of both of the root spiritualities for awhile, before returning back to jedi-ism, if i can.

I was actually looking for teachings on energywork, and found Jediism by accident in a web search. I then searched for "jediism" and found this place.

Have you ever googled "I'm a real Jedi"? That's how I found this site. I had been developing my own standards and definitions. I'm glad I found this new family of mine instead.

I'm not a Star Wars fan (sorry). Steamboat is my friend and roomie. He's talked about this place for about as long as I've known him. I mostly brushed it off for the longest time, understanding that while it's good for him, it's probably not a place for me. When he started to talk about Jediism is based on the things the movies were inspired by, I got more interested. I believe in energy, and I believe that's what you all call the "Force". I'm at a turning point in my life, and I decided to give this place a chance. I want to see if I can grow in my spiritual life here and perhaps make new friends.

I wanted a Jedi tattoo and thought I should immerse myself in Jedi philosophy before I did.

Turned out that tattoo was the reward I gave myself when I was Knighted 8 months later.

I'd been around the community for almost five years, I think, but never really hung out at TotJO. On Valentine's Day a couple of years back, I performed a Jedi wedding ceremony for a couple, and shortly after that I began to think that if I wanted to do Jedi clerical work, I should probably become a Jedi cleric. Well, to be honest, my thought process at that time were not quite that clear, but that's eventually what I came to understand.
