How did you find TOTJO?

Random look after growing tired of studying religions that seemed so consumed with glorification of indivduals instead of the principles upon what they spoke. So, I suppose I stumbled here, ummmm the Force? Actually I am sure it was the Force, destiny, and what have you; or I wouldn't keep coming back or feel the need too.

In my Dutch language book at school there was a story about a Jedi not wanting to remove his hood, after searching a bit I found this place.. Finding the Temple is one part, staying present is a whole other story. There is something with this Temple that makes me want to stay. Especially the forum being alive, like-minded, versatile and serious but not too serious. :blush: Most other places do not give me that feel. Often with digital places I am gone within 1 - 2 months. :ohmy:

May or may not be worth noting - The old site layout/look was a big reason why I spent more time at TotJO than the other "Jedi" sites.

I'm here now, and riding out this high contrast nightmare, but had it looked like this Circa Jan 2016, Ol' Jimmy S would not have stayed long.

I'm not completely sure how I got here. Was a few years ago... 2012, I think.

I am also not sure, every day, why I keep coming back. Something magnetic for me. I listen to that. Perhaps it is the Force's flow through my life. Perhaps I am just too attached. Perhaps those two aren't different.

I doubt it's so magic as all that.

Same reason people watch the same crappy soap operas every day.

I few years back I found myself disillusioned with my previous faith and stuck in a rut at work. I had a craving for something new to study and engage my mind and was also looking for something spiritual to fill a certain void I had been sensing for quite some time.

I've always been a fan of Star Wars, but I am particularly fascinated by Yoda. It led me to research the inspiration for Yoda's character and I stumbled onto the Temple doorstep. Once inside I met some great people and also found the challenge I was looking for.

Before the TOTJO, I'd spent a lather lengthy amount of time studying the Left Hand Path, and was involved with the Vampyre subculture. It is there I learned about life force (the Force). It was that, (more so than my unhealthy obsession with Star Wars,) that initially led me here.

I've left, only to return, again and again. You people here have tainted me with your kindness, and so infected I stay. Damn Jedi...
