How did you find TOTJO?

Ah, the curiosity of MarVinKra strikes again!
I would love to hear the stories of how you guys here found this wonderful site!
Whether it be from a friend, a facebook post, a video, a carrier pigeon, or anything else!

I found the Temple from the Elite Daily video where they interviewed Alex Bird! After watching that video I immediately came to the site and started looking around. I then proceeded to cut the video down to keep only the parts of the interview where Alex was speaking. I often watch this as a form of motivation. I watch it as a reminder of the reasons why I love this place.

Eh! another fun thread from MarVinKra!

Twas a cold fall morning as I rode into work. Another day under my new, tyrannical supervisor. Upon hastily finishing my work, I slipped my way into the wonder that is the world wide web. There, while researching the upcoming Rogue One movie and learning that there would be no Jedi in it (woe was me! I was shocked!) I descried an article about a man that lives as a full time Jedi. Intrigued, I ventured forward an navigated towards this page.

There I found the story of a man known as the Jedi of Rhyl, but he was born to the name of Kevin Cottam. He lives in the town of Rhyl in Whales, and because of a terrible curse thrust upon him by the cruelties of fate, he live his life volunteering, living, and dressing in the garb of the Jedi. At his side, his lightsabre, with which he brought forth much love and hatred upon himself.

I then scrolled through the article and found myself in the land of the comment section, where one was from a man claiming to be from the Jedi community. Captivated I looked up real life Jedi and their communities. There, within the wondrous internet guide named Google, I found this strange place full of strange people. They called themselves Jedi, and this the Temple of the Jedi Order.

I was home.

Nothing exciting for me, just some random person on the internet suggested I look up Jediism, so I had a look at the different sites online, starting locally until I got a lay of the landscape of it a bit and joined in where appropriate to me. I do not know why it was evident to that person as I never mentioned Star Wars etc, but yes it was a good call by them

I needed an image for a poster I was making (at work, if not "for work" :laugh:)

I didn't join ToTJO until about 6 months later when I had some holidays and decided to take the time to read a bit more of the "product" (and didn't become a Member until another 6 months after that)

I was looking for RPGs the kind you play via email or forum and write stores. When i first came i though " Oh god nerds" but i stayed and read and met people and while i have come and gone on occasion i always seem to return.

A friend of mine ( who was a Sith haha ) made a post on his facebook " F*ck this , i am going to be a Jedi" . And i looked up some pages of Jediism and got stuck here thinking , wow , i wonder if they allow Trekkies ...so here i am loll

I can only tell it as either a really lengthy story, or in Hyper-Tiny shortened form... so, short story!

I was searching for a system of self betterment that combined aspects of internal martial arts, academic aspects of alchemy (as pertains to the Force), the Way of the Sword, spirituality, and a chivalric order.

Ummm...good question. It was way way WAY back in the birth days of this place.....2006 perhaps? Earlier? I think I heard about it in a forum and went there to invite it's members to that years Gathering. I would hang out with them in the IRC Chat on a nightly basis.
