Alcohol

I drink for taste though......Might put Malabu or White Rum in my taco bell slushie, or a shot of Amereto in my sprite....so forth....nothing crazy

I have struggled with it at times and my experiences with it have caused me many hardships and little lasting joy.

I remember the night I realised alcohol was not my friend... when, waking in the frosty dawn light beneath a hedge on one of the meanest streets in my part of the world, reading with bleary eyes text messages from my ex wife who had been trying to find me, phoning hospitals and driving around for hours, I realised that it had started snowing.

Like anything, "depends on the Jedi". But for me, anything more than a few quiet beers are now strictly off-limits.

Like many here have said, I think moderation is key...if you want to drink at all. It is your choice.

I wouldn't suggest getting really drunk and pulling out light sabers though. Someone might lose an eye.

oh, so NOW you tell me.

I am a light weight so I can be easy for me to get drunk. However I still don't see anything wrong with having a few beer or a whiskey.
As long as it's in moderation.

I'm getting a lot of "in moderation"

all from people who know what it's like to exceed moderation.

It seems that there is an argument for tempting self destruction in order to learn a valuable lesson.

Keen observation, James I guess some of us need to put our hand in the fire in order to learn that it is hot. To be fair, I've had some great nights that I barely remember thanks to alcohol, but at some point I had to start being fair to my liver as well.
