Look up EMT pants. Plenty of female EMT's and that is what I have. My brother(2nd Lt in the army) and my ex wife(former police officer) and my old roomate (an EMT) all suggested this and now they are the only pant I wear outside of my Shaolin robes and occasionally scrubs(which don't let you kick very high without tearing out the crotch)

Say what you want about $50 a pair, I've been buying the $60 pairs from 5.11 tactical, I have 5 pair in total where I had been buying them just to have more for rotation, the first pair I've bought I still wear after 5 years, and they still look brand new after a good wash. They are built really well and last a really long time. I have yet to meet any other emt/paramedic that has had a problem or complaint about 5.11 ems gear.
As far as the robes for meditation and other connections. Much like anything else like incense etc it can be a useful tool to associate with that can help you get into meditation more often or faster or help put you in the mindset. To really master meditation though it's often discouraged to get too hung up on those "meditation helpers". It's one of the reasons a lot of books and things tell you to just do it purely on your breathe etc. The idea being if you ever "needed" to meditate out in the middle of nowhere or in the middle of work or somewhere that you don't have any of those aid's then you are putting yourself at a dis-advantage. Breathe is one thing you will hopefully never run out of, and if you do, probably not in a situation which you can probably meditate anyway. I had a river rock I used initially and I have since put it away as it was becoming more difficult if I wanted to meditate without using it, so I am basing some of that on personal experience.

I had a very nice set of wool robes that I would wear primarily in the winter as a base layer to keep me warm and dry. They were custom made and a bit pricey, but unfortunately I lost them when I moved out from the place I lived with my abusive ex.
They weren't something I wore out in the open, I preferred to keep my spiritual preferences private and not advertise them to everyone around me. Even after becoming ordained outside of TOTJO, I would only wear them in plain view during wedding ceremonies, and other religious services I was tasked with.
There's a very different reaction I've seen people get to wearing a spiritual article such as a cross or shemagh, and the reaction someone gets for wearing a full body religious outfit such as Kāṣāya chougu or Burka.
People wearing full body outfits are from what I can tell, generally perceived to be some kind of spiritual official or dedicated monastic. Although I have aspirations to monastic life, I do not belong to a monastery and therefore find wearing full robes in public to be inappropriate. Even though I am ordained and capable of carrying out religious function, I still find it inappropriate.
For personal meditation and spiritual work however, I found the robes quite comfortable and accommodating.
Even in the movies and novels, Jedi weren't specifically required to wear robes. In all actuality, most Jedi preferred to wear outfits that allowed them to blend in to their surroundings and move about without drawing attention. They preferred to operate in a more stealthy / covert fashion.
When it comes down to it in my view, the robes simply aren't all that functional, and are more ceremonial / decorative than anything else.
I much prefer my cargo pants and utility vest, as I've more than once been called into situations where I've had to render first aid or other emergency assistance. It's always at a completely random time, when I think nothing could possibly go wrong and I'm crazy for carrying all this stuff in my pockets. But sure enough, the need for it ends up arising.
