There shouldn't be any rules against bagpipes. Just plaid robes. ;)

I don't have a photo of my robes as I am currently at work but I this is about as close as I can find to what I changed them to. The brown is black and there are maroon highlights in the black vest but for the most part this is it.

I think if a Jedi want to incorporate a kilt into their robes, they should allowed. JS

I would love to see that! A kilt on a Jedi already sounds cool!

While I don't wear robes, I have two sweaters that I have called my Jedi sweaters due to their cowl-neck. One of which is longer than usual and truly focuses me in my path. My path is to the Jedi Ministry and I have often asked myself what I would wear if I were officiating either a wedding or service. Part of me believes that it would be a little too "costume" to wear Jedi robes from the movie, yet I don't necessarily believe a suit would be appropriate either. I have ways to go before I have to truly worry about that.

Ultimately, I believe that whatever serves you and harms none is the right answer.

Funny, I was looking into Jedi Robes last night, and I started wondering why there weren't more "modernized" versions of the robes, or if there are and I just cant find them

I have a ceremonial robe and I couple it with another that my Shifu gave me for personal meditation, TOTJO events(if I ever go to one), and Chicago Jedi Events.

I have a ceremonial outfit provided by the Head of the Jedi Federation I use for Jedi Federation events.

My clothing in everyday life is set to my own Jedi standard.

Back in the early days of Jedi, it was commonly agreed that Cargo Pants and Trench Coats were the more Modern Equivelant. Not only are they modern and capable of wearing in today's world but they were versatile and allowed for a Jedi to carry more items with them such as first aide and other handy in need things.

Now a days the very thought springs forth debate after debate.....you can find many of which in my signature in the Common Subjects link ;)
