When interacting with others always bear in mind RESPECT:
R - take Responsibility for what you say and feel, without blaming others
E - use Empathetic listening
S - be Sensitive to differences in communication styles
P - Ponder what you read and feel before you speak
E - Examine your own assumptions and perceptions
C - be Civil in your interactions with others
T - Trust ambiguity, because it can be difficult to communicate meaning
(Adapted from "The Bush Was Blazing But Not Consumed," by Eric H. F. Law)
With that in mind, the following are taken from the policies of a well-known Zen forum and I think we would do well to consider them too. Especially point #1 . . . as Cabur posted earlier in the thread:
1. Above all: Be kind. Be civil, be constructive, be respectful, have fun. Avoid editing while you’re in a bad mood: it does spill over.
2. To get a better perspective, ask yourself: “How would I feel if someone said that to a person I love who can’t just “brush it off?” If you’d find that unacceptable, then don’t say it.
3. Not acceptable: Flaming, ranting, attacking, accusing. Harassment of another member can result in your account being suspended. No racial slurs, sexist, homophobic or transphobic remarks, no spamming, you know the drill!
4. If others misbehave: In general, be understanding and non-retaliatory in dealing with incivility. Report to the moderators if there is an ongoing problem that you cannot resolve.

Lol I like you much better as a sith. At least you have now embraced your true personality. Im glad you have made it your personal mission to bitch slap each and every one of us until we conform to your standard of excellence. Thank you for your unbounded narcissism in this pursuit! My only word of caution is be sure and check with your current handlers to ensure your path remains riteous. After all, living your life in some other manner than being at your masters becon call seems to remain a cardinal sin in your world.

Can we stick to the topic please without the snipping. That's directed at both responses.

Part of the seduction of most religions is the idea that if you just say the right things and believe really hard, your salvation will be at hand.

I feel sad when I see unhappy messages, at the same time I just want to be around here to make people feel less sad..
