I believe that artwork can be separated from the vices and virtues of the artist and exist within its own context (be it social, political, artistic, etc), and if you don't, we will never come to any consensus.
Bias works both ways but the fact remains that a creation/work of art is irrevocably tied to the character and history of its creator. You choose to overlook that link and I do not. Its as simple as that. Even so, I have enjoyed our discussion and I appreciate your opinions and comments. You have caused me to want to more carefully consider other artistic endeavors that I may have dismissed to readily, so thank you for that!
In the end I hope that we can find a synthesis in the idea that no two people will ever see a work of art in exactly the same way. Each of us will be moved or inspired in a way that is unique to the individual. That is a beautiful thing and we should come together as a species and celebrate that diversity vs going to war over those differences.

I consider it in poor taste. I don't think it makes any kind of statement worth mentioning. I think it uses body shaming, which I am against. The only thing noteworthy is the detail, which does take skill.
